I have hired Stephanie for almost all of my family law needs and I've always been happy with the results!

I needed to have a Matter taken care of from a divorce 10 years prior (QDRO). During the consultation Stephanie explaining everything thoroughly. I hired her and she began working on my case immediately as time was of the essence. Stephanie was extremely professional and timely. The case was concluded successfully and I would highly recommend her.

Ms. Kasten was very dedicated in trying to find a fair compromise to settle our divorce. She came up with some very innovative ideas on how to handle maintenance in our case which I felt would have offered a win win solution to the divorce. She went to extremes to explain this solution to the opposing counsel, however he refused to work with her towards any solution to the divorce. Ms. Kasten finally recommended that in the interest of efficiency, and expense, it would probably be to my advantage to switch to another attorney since opposing counsel had obviously developed a vendetta against Ms Kasten as he refused to communicate with her verbally and said he would not negotiate. I had to agree with her as I felt she had been extremely fair and patient with opposing counsel and we were not getting anywhere because of opposing counsel's attitude. I highly recommend Ms Kasten as she was very thorough, innovative, patient, and professional through this whole case.

Upon my recent retirement, I needed to petition the court for a maintenance reduction. Stephanie left no stone unturned in preparing my case, and was not only able to win at trial, but secured an outcome that exceeded my 'best case' scenario.

Attorney Kasten exceeded my expectations in regards to all matters concerning my case. My case was certainly not normal and took far longer than expected. The long case was not because of Attorney Kasten, as she, on more than a few occasions, had prepared fair settlement agreements. It takes both sides to come to a fair & agreed settlement. Many times throughout, when a situation arose unexpectedly or unforeseen, she handled it with knowledge and professionalism. Not only that, but kept me in the proper mindset needed as the case went on. Attorney Kasten is very thorough. I am thankful and very pleased with her and everyone who was associated with this case.

Attorney Kasten handled my divorce case, at least until we parted ways. My divorce case was very straight forward, and much of handling a divorce is about negotiating. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find how poor at negotiation Mrs Kasten is. At one point Mrs Kasten wrote up an "agreed order" with the opposing counsel in which I was to hand over $10,000+ for her living expenses for the next couple of months, so I said as long as I'm handling over all of that money, I would like to ask for some things in return. Winter was approaching and I needed my Winter clothing from my house, in addition, I wanted five or six small items from my house to make my life more comfortable. (Small items, mind you, not large furniture pieces, etc). Mrs Kasten wrote my clothing request into the "agreed order" but simply listed my other requested items on a post-it note to give to the other side. When all was said and done, I received my winter clothing, because it was written into the legally binding agreement, but not one of the other small items listed on her magical post-it note. Big surprise! Mrs Kasten also made no effort over 7 months time to get me ANY parenting time with my two children! Each time that I asked, she said that I had to complete mediation first, which I later found out is NOT the case! I wasted 7 months time, and over $20,000 on Mrs Kasten and the Gitlin Law Firm, and I hope you do not make the same mistake that I did.

Attorney Kasten's work quality and performance in court exceeded my expectations. Her preparation and performance provided accurate information to the judge via exhibits, questioning the witness, and summation. Independent of my positive court outcomes, the quality of work quality represents the high level of service needed in difficult divorce situations. I would highly recommend Attorney Kasten to family and friends if they are in need of representation.

My case was unique and complicated, but Stephanie stuck with the case through all the ups and downs that my case experienced, and mere words on a website cannot express the high regards I have for Stephanie and the staff at Gitlin Law Firm. I have been through many attorneys but never have I experienced such excellent service. She is a pit bull in the courtroom!!! Kasten practices law with integrity. She is more than knowledgable in her field. HONEST, determined, thorough, always prepared. Communication was continuous and always clear. I have never seen anyone work with such perseverance. My case was difficult and in a different small town county. For her to enter unfamiliar territory and still fight and get results every time, was most impressive!
