The services provided for me by the Law Office of Slotegraaf and Niehoff for my Dissolution of Marriage were exemplary. The attorney who represented my case, Kristin Garner, was knowledgeable and prompt with all of the questions that I had, and the office itself went above and beyond. I encourage anyone who requires legal representation for matters of family law to call or email their office for a consultation. I emailed their office and received a response within one or two days, after which I was able to schedule a consultation within a week. I misunderstood the state of my case at the time, but Ms. Garner was informative, clear, and direct about how to proceed. We were able to resolve my case within a few months, which was mostly attributable to the logistical complications involved with refinancing my house (factors of which were beyond anyone's control and with which the office assisted me to their fullest abilities). To speak to the level in which the office and their staff went above and beyond for me, my spouse had neglected to properly change addresses, and a court summons that was unrelated to our marriage/divorce for them was sent to my home. The courthouse would not forward the summons to the correct address (which I still do not adequately understand the reasoning behind). Fearing potential obstruction of justice, I felt it necessary to ensure that the summons was sent to my spouse, but I was not comfortable with approaching them due to the circumstances surrounding our separation. The office then offered to forward the summons and other mail to my spouse directly. This was not required on S&N's behalf, but doing so relieved substantial stress for myself and the situation. While my case was a relatively straightforward one (my spouse and I mutually agreed on the divorce, they deferred their half of the house equity, vehicles and other personal property were not an issue, and we had no children), I cannot stress enough the level of expertise, care, and consideration brought on by Slotegraaf and Niehoff. I thoroughly encourage anyone with matters of dissolution of marriage or family law to reach out to their office for a consultation.
