I use this Law firm for family law. I can tell you that the lawyer who represents my family being Lainie is an outstanding lawyer and gives it to you straight. She has been a blessing to my family. I asked for help with a Power of Attorney and Lainie and Shannon sent me to another lawyer in the firm. Paula. I can say with 100% certainty that Paula was just as much of a blessing to my mother and for myself. I am eternally grateful that I was recommended to use this firm because the constant prayers sent to my family during trying times and the constant communication to help my family know what is going on and understanding the situation. I will say it again my family is blessed to have this firm apart of my family. I would recommend anyone to use this firm and I have. Paula Schaefer has represented me for 22 years and I am grateful for 22 years of peace of mind. When I needed an attorney for the uncertainty of dissolution of marriage I found Paula, all she required was honesty so she could ascertain my situation and provide the appropriate legal action. I would best describe her as a beacon or a safe port in a stormy circumstance. She is not an attorney that goes through the motions, her method is attention to every detail, an unbiased overview of both parties, and exhausting all resources at her disposal. I found her to be most Viable and an asset in which I will forever be grateful. Paula will always have my trust.

Wonderful representation! Paula Schaefer helped me through some very stressful times, during a difficult divorce. Her calm demeanor is calming and encouraging to her clients. However, her calm demeanor should not be mistaken for weakness! When appropriate she is very direct, and knows her stuff. She also has a great assistant, Shannon, who helped me stay on top of things. Paula continues to represent me.

Family Law Attorney Paula Schaefer is simply AMAZING! READ THIS REVIEW I struggled for 3 years to find a family law attorney who actually listened, treated me like a human being, and cared about the details of my divorce case. I went through 2 attorneys and thousands of wasted dollars before I found Paula. I used to get so frustrated and say "I wish I was rich so I could afford an attorney who actually cared about my case as much as I do" Well I'm not rich, but I found an attorney in Paula, who treated me like I was. Her fees are competitive with the Indianapolis area Marketplace, but you will get so much more from Paula than any other attorney. She is kind, steadfast, honest, professional, cool under pressure, and a classy attorney who will never make you feel like you are unworthy of great legal representation. Paula is also a mom so she knows what you are going through. She has the right combination of experience and compassion and I promise you from experience, that it is rare to find these qualities in an attorney. Amazingly compassionate and thorough in his work

I was referred to Lainie hurwitz from a previous counsel of mine. Lainie hurwitz and her paralegal (shannon) were very responsive to my concerns and Lainie was great in the court room, however I personally feel Lainie was not as aggressive as she should have been when dealing with opposing party. Good example of this is if I had questions pertaining to issues with final matters she would brush those off and tell me they were final matter and not worry about them even though they were of huge concern to me. The other thing was when opposing party would do something they wernt supposed to she was reluctant to create waves. Though with all this I still felt she was a good attorney up until she decided to withdraw from my case because I was unable to make payments of $1,000 per month. Mind you she thought I had owed her firm almost $10,000 but it turned out I was being erroneously billed and I in fact had only owed about $1,700 yet she still expected $1,000 a month on a $1,700 ballance. This was a very unrealistic expectation to have on me given my circumstances and the restraints imposed on me by the courts. At this point I had no choice but to allow her to withdraw from my case. Than following all this she refused to release my file to my new counsel. By the time I owed her that $1700 I had paid her well over $10,000. Yep you read this entire review correctly, no I did not mess up in typing any of these numbers. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how good your counsel is if all they care about is the money. I get it they are in the bussiness to make money but I also believe they should be passionate about helping their clients and should be flexible yet realistic. I would highly caution you to make certain you have a large stash of funds readily available if you plan on retaining her.

My wife and I used Mike Ruppert’s services to gain primary physical and full legal custody of her children. Mike and his staff were always available to us in a timely manner, never billed us excessively and sincerely wanted a positive outcome for our family. Mr. Ruppert was very direct with us about what we needed to do in order to prepare for a day in court and did not “sugar coat” the issue. His colleagues, Lauren Harpold and Helen O’Malley, were insightful, detailed, and always available to work through issues that came up. Often these were urgent matters that needed attention right away, and they were sensitive to our need to have answers as quickly as possible. We would not hesitate to contact Mike and his team in the future to handle any family court issues.
