I HIRED THIS ATTORNEY FOR DIVORCE/BUSINESS CASE SHE CHARGED A 5000 RETAINER AND DID ABSOLUTELY NO PREPARATION FOR ANY COURT APPEARANCE. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST ATTORNEY I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE.

This woman is no attorney to get for children. She does not care that when children lose their parent that all they have is each other and should get to stay together. She would separate children just because she doesn't like who would keep the children together. I would not ever recommend this woman for any matter concerning children!

I don't generally do reviews but i was so impressed by Mrs. Joas that i wanted to let others know.. Jennifer recently handled a custody case for my wife. We live several states away but she handled our case flawlessly. She kept in touch with my wife through several emails and a few phone calls. My wife started this case in 2016 and went through 3 states and 5 attorneys. Jennifer received the case in late 2020 during the height of the pandemic. She genuinely seemed to care about the case and fought hard to get in and hold court for my wife. She was very knowledgeable about the law and didn't get side tracked by smokescreens the other attorney constantly tried to deploy. We have not received a judgements as of yet but we are now just waiting for the judge to make his ruling. I was glad she was on our side throughout the entire process. She talked with us not to us and explained what to expect during the next process, to mentally prepare us. She never made any promises but I don't think she could have fought harder for my wife. If you have a family law problem in Madison take it from me hire Jennifer Joas, because you do not want to go against her in court. She is the best lawyer my wife had out of 5 attorneys. I was extremely impressed by her demeanor both in and out of court. If you hire Jennifer Joas you won't be disappointed

Her office done my child custody case and hyped me up had a game plan down going into the court room then didn't really bring up many arguments at all or push for me any rights outside the basic Indiana guidelines. Also have had 2 criminal cases with her office and very rarely keeps you updated at all or when you do meet with or hear from her she is rather short and insist we are just gonna wait and see what the prosecutor offers. As a lawyer I feel like she should keep you way more updated and weigh our options based on what the prosecutor could offer.
