l hired this lawyer to deal with a felony charge I received. He got it dropped to a misdemeanor, and no jail time. He’s very talented and responds timely. He showed up at every court date I had before I even was there! Very very great lawyer. I highly HIGHLY reccomend hiring this attorney. If you are teeter tottering in hiring him, go into his office and have a chat with him. You’ll be convinced as soon as you hear this mans knowledge.

Attorney Phillips has been representing me on a family law case for the past year. Attorney Phillips is highly respected by his peers and the Courts in Northwest Indiana. He came recommended to me by multiple other counsel when I was looking for another family law attorney to take over the case, and I am very pleased that I engaged Attorney Phillips. He has honestly accomplished more in one year as the attorney in my family law case than what three different local attorneys had collectively accomplished over a 4-year time frame. The issues that have arisen from my family law case have been abundant, and it by no means has been your average divorce and/or custody dispute. However, that hasn’t stopped Mr. Phillips from relentlessly litigating the matter on its merits and representing my interests in Court. Throughout my family law case Attorney Phillips has successfully argued evidentiary matters, contempt matters, jurisdictional matters, an injunction matter, and custody matters. He has briefed issues of fact and law through various motions and memorandums of law, he has successfully argued multiple motions in oral arguments made to the Court, and he is a skilled at cross examination. Attorney Phillips has always been responsive to my inquiries. He has on numerous occasions set aside time for me to come into his office for us to go over matters and issues pending in my case so that I know what’s going on, and if there are ever any issues that come up he has always reached out to me to discuss them. Attorney Phillips is extremely compassionate and understanding, and he genuinely cares about his clients. My only wish is that I would have hired Attorney Phillips earlier in my case. If I had, I am certain that it never would have become the mess it had become. But, as the old saying goes…it’s better late than never. I know it’s easy to demand immediate results in today’s world but that’s not realistic in the divorce legal arena. David helped me understand that my case moved at the Judge’s pace — not necessarily mine. He would listen to me for hours when I wasn’t in my best frame of mind unlike other attorneys I know.

Does not return phone calls or keep in contact with paying clients. He was very quick to cash the check the next day, but never heard from him again, and it's been about 7 or 8 weeks. Very easily could have hired someone else and had my matter taken care of by now. Very disappointed! Would not recommend at all! All I would like is my money back to hire an attorney who actually works for his clients!

I hired Mr. Phillips to represent me in my divorce. He dragged it out for over a year not returning my phone calls for weeks. When he did return them, he would promise that he would get right on the issues and get back with me. A month would go by and I would start with the messages to call me back, with no return calls from him for weeks. Again I would get the same answers, I'll get right on it. As of this date I am still hanging in limbo with no answers and no settlement.

I had an issue with some arbor vitae trees being planted next to our property blocking our view of the lake. David was knowledgeable in this area of law, proved to the judge that it was the start of a "spite fence" and was able to get an order to lower the trees and gain our view back. He prepared us for the trial and his fees were quire reasonable for what he accomplished. Very professional and we are very satisfied with the results
