She was very nice and knowledgeable. Told me the prosecution wouldn’t be asking for me to spend any jail time although that’s exactly what happened. At the beginning she was easy to get ahold of but as she got bigger it became a challenge. She is very knowledgeable and bright but I would use her for smaller traffic ticket type offenses where your life isn’t hanging in the balance.

I had gotten a traffic violation for speeding on the Toll Road on the way to work. After receiving the ticket, I began to get advertising materials in the mail from various law firms for handling the ticket. I was already going to get an attorney to take care of it so that I didn't get points on my license and my insurance wouldn't go up. I received material from Ms. Spence and her firm. She was the only one from my home county, so I decided to give her a call. She offered to handle the matter and for $150, which I thought was great because the other attorneys I had spoke with wanted at least $250.
I went to her law office, paid the amount, and thought all would be taken care of. After that, I heard nothing for a month, then two, and so on. Then, after six months, I got a letter from Ms. Spence in the mail stating that my offense had been handled, and that all I need to do was review and sign the enclosed legal paperwork and return it. The next day I went to my mailbox to return the paperwork, and there was another letter in the mail. It stated that she was withdrawing from my case as my attorney because of no contact with me. They had my cell phone number, my wife's cell phone number, and my work number. No missed calls. No voicemails. No texts. No nothing. What was even more interesting to me was that in the same mail from that day, I also received a letter from the court stating that Ms. Spence had already withdrawn from my case representing me, and that really irked me, because we all know the government, and we all know that they don't do anything fast, which meant that the court knew a week or two before I did. In the letter from the court, they gave me a new court date with ample time to retain another attorney to represent me.
As I was already tired of this whole matter as well as upset about what happened, I decided "damn the price" and went with a large, established, powerhouse firm to take care of it. When I met with my new lawyer he asked me straight up why I had gone to Ms. Spence in the first place. I told him about the advertising materials and the price, to which he simply stated "well, you get what you pay for, but even if you hadn't hired me, I would have warned you about that firm."
I think that says it all!

Katrina goes above and beyond for her clients. When the court made an error on my payment, she worked hard until they corrected their error. She's down to earth, fair, and easy to work with. I suggest calling her for all your traffic related legal issues.
