Reached out to Howes Law Firm to represent me during my divorce. During the entire process, they treated me not only as a client but as a person that was going through alot at the time. Matt Kashinami was my lawyer and did an awesome job of keeping things in perspective for me and helping me to make the right decisions. I can truly say that he is not only a great lawyer but a friend as well. If you don’t want to just be another client I highly recommend Matt and Howes Law Firm.

Alex did alot at the beginning of the trial but as time went on near the birth of his baby I didn't get emails. I waited a couple of months until something huge happened just to be told he no longer was working with me because he had a huge case load. I was mortified as he had been working with me a couple of years and knew my case and my ex narcassist unacceptable behaviors. I did owe $2k but as soon as mediation was going to happen, I had plans on paying it all off, but because of this, I had to get a new lawyer and only make small payments to Alex. I will say they did give me my files back.

Alex Momany was the best thing that could have happened to me. He was hired about a month prior to my trial date. My previous attorney had underperformed. I was in such mental and emotional distress after the temporary hearing, and financially maxed I still continued with my original attorney, until he stopped practicing and I was forced to find another one. Hiring Alex was TRULY THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED, I just wish I had hired him originally. Alex saved what he could of the mess my original attorney had created and did it with grace and poise. He is professional, straight forward and makes you feel heard and valued. I will recommend Alex ever single time and will absolutely hire him if I need an attorney in the future.

Steve Howes has been my attorney of record since 2011 when he handled a contentious divorce with attention and care. I have recommended him to many friends and will continue to do so. He is now my estate attorney and I trust him explicity.

I have worked with Steve for the past 3 years several issues related to family law and have found him to be great to work with and effective partner, highly recommend his firm.

I would strongly suggest NOT using this law firm. I ran in to a very unethical situation with them in opinion.

The Cedar Rapids Justice System sucks. Can't no law firm no where help people. Now my privacy has been violated in a public place trying on clothes and a associate who unprofessional caused me to be exposed. and everybody saying they can't handle nothing, I refuse to believe that. They got a choice not to help you, but no one is going to me there's nothing for those type of case concerning this incidents. I got A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and I know better. I wonder why their law firm says other legal services if they don't handle it. If you don't handle it, it should have only specific services not list other legal services making people think you can handle other cases outside of what you already do.

From the beginning, Matt was compassionate and knowledgeable, always providing competent and realistic legal advice in a way that I could understand.
