They are really good at what the do

Doubt they actually "fight for the men"; that's just a gimmick that lured me in. The calloused female attorney I met was falling asleep as I was describing the horrors of my situation in the consultation meeting. I didn't use them and wasn't in any way impressed with any aspect of the firm.

You only actually have the rights you can defend - or that someone is willing to defend for you; so it is no exaggeration to say Iowa Legal Aid restored my status as a fully vested member of the human race. I'm not sure there are enough words in existence to describe the importance of their mission. Iowa legal aid not only helped me with my legal issue, they did it in a way that helped me regain my dignity. When the world had gone mad and it felt like no one believed me, my assigned advocate helped me focus on the critical issues and wisely advised me and my caretaker on appropriate steps. Even when not everything went my way in court, her steadfast support and intelligent approach made me feel that even the worst case scenario was simply something unfair that might happen to me, rather than the whole world judging my personhood and rejecting it. If you are in need, they do their best to help. We had to do our own "leg work" - but I think that is perfectly reasonable. If you are considering supporting this organization, I can't reccomend it strongly enough to do it justice. There are precious few places where your dollars can change lives in such a profound and important way. If you believe in human dignity, you should be supporting Iowa Legal Aid.

Highly recommend this firm for Dads who feel they need someone to fight for their rights as a parent. Tired of being treated like a criminal, call Cornell and Cordell!
