I went in to get my seasonal flu shot and immediately upon insertion of the needle I literally screamed out in pain. Probably like yourself, I have had many injections, usually accompanied by mild pain or discomfort but this one was different, something was really wrong. Mr. Richard Moeller and his associates represented me well in my vaccine injury case that started in 2018. I first met him when he worked on behalf of my twin brother during his flu vaccine injury claim from 2010- 2013. He would drive several hours to meet with us. He had a calming presence and made an immediate connection with both of us. I worked mostly as an acute care RN in Iowa for over 35 years prior to getting re-married, moving, and accepting a new job at an urban hospital in Kansas. I started that job towards the end of November, 2017. I was "persuaded" to be re-vaccinated with the Hepatitis B series at their facility. I had taken the series in the 1990's at my Iowa hospital. Two days after receiving the third vaccine, I developed red spots on my right hand which spread to both hands, arms, hips, legs, and feet over the next few weeks. Some spots were crusty. I was itchy, uncomfortable , and embarrassed. The creases in my fingers cracked open which was extremely painful. Many spots have left scarring and I have long-term skin issues on my hands even after 5 years. I was followed by my doctors and a highly respected dermatologist in the area who ordered labs and biopsies that showed I had developed Lichen Planus soon after receiving the Hep B series.
