Hope is terrible. At the time I thought they were fine, but having never been through a divorce or custody case I had no idea. In hindsight I got about the worse divorce decree I could have and I would have been better off saving my $10,000 and representing myself. I'm pretty sure Chat GPT wrote it and not an attorney. I've had consultations with 4 attorneys since then and all have told my divorce decree is garbage and they wouldn't have let me agree to any of it. You think your expensive attorney has your best interest at heart, but I feel like they just wanted to bill me for every email and question without doing any work. It's nearly impossible to go back and fix a bad attorney's mistakes and laziness in family court after the deal is done.
