“Called multiple times different weeks and each time I was told a lawyer would reach back out to me. One of the times the paralegal straight up told me one of the lawyers were let go and they have some in-house issues.”

Potential overcharging and lack of transparency
“There was no letter of engagement (first red flag). I asked what they could do to try and keep costs low for the startup and they told me they do these letters regularly using templates so it would only take 2-3 hours and they could finish the whole thing at under $350 total but the catch was they couldn't start right away and would take a week to get something to me. I ended up getting the letter 2 weeks later (i.e. 1 week later) and was billed for over $750.”
