I hired Mr Miller to represent someone for me. I paid several thousand of dollars. When it came time to represent he got them the same amount of time that the original court appointed attorney could get. The crime happened in Kansas & we live in another state 12 hrs away. So everything was on phone. They had to set up an appointment to talk to him on the phone, he would never take the time to call them and talk to them about the case. On court days he would never contact then early in the morning to prepare them for what they was getting ready to walk into. He would wait til day of court and would get there 10-15 minutes early to talk to them which isn't right. He should contact them the day before to prepare or a cuple days before. We had to call his secretaries more than once to get our paper work. He showed up to the sentencing late. He looked like he just got up. Hair was a mess & tie was crooked and not tightened.They had to skip over their case because he didn't show up on time. Save your money and don't waste it on him because he can't do no better than a court appointed attorney.

We have used Derek Miller twice and the results were more the expected. He is a great lawyer!! I reccomend him to everyone I know. He is prompt, his office help is prompt and reliable as well. If you want a down to earth, smart an smooth talking, lawyer that will get you out of a jam Derek can do it!
