My family recently had a scare and we approached Elder Advisers to get some "advice". Larry didn't really listen to our needs. He talked fast and made us believe he would help with our situation. He wanted a check for 9000.00 before we left. He told my dad to go to the bank. My father, who signed the paperwork, without the chance to read it, was never contacted for a second meeting. They called me. I was just my dad's driver, but I set the meeting up for him. When we got to the second meeting, we were confused to learn that they were preparing my mom for a nursing home and medicare. She's 68. We turned to an elder attorney to answer the concerns we initially had, and he was also confused by what Elder Advisers were doing. We called Larry to stop whatever it was he was doing, and he would not take my dad's call, he instead had someone else call me, the driver. I told her our concerns, and what the attorney said, and told her Larry needed to talk to my dad. Larry didn't call for a couple days, and when he did, he said that it was past 6 weeks, and that he wouldn't be getting his money back. It was 2 days past 6 weeks. My father called him within the 6 week period, but Larry waited past the 6 week period to call him back. This man is a crook. I suggest seeking and attorney instead. An attorney will cost you 4500.00. These "Advisers" will take 17,000.00. And they aren't lawyers, you'll still have to get an attorney for the services they can't provide. I tried to call Larry after he spoke to my dad, he didn't take my call. He had someone else call me back, she said Larry would call me; it's been a week since.

Met with Larry for a initial consultation after speaking and corresponding with Marianne. Both were very friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable, and shared their knowledge as hoped. I look forward to working with the team on next steps.
