Apparently the lady at the front desk said they only do family law. Even though on the reviews here , you see people talking about how they helped with speeding tickets. So either all these reviews are bogus or I was discriminated against. I’ll let you all decide.

I work with Hugh and have been there twice. The first time was a custody agreement for my son and the second was regarding one with my stepdaughter. Both times were completely different situations and Hugh was knowledgeable about everything and put my husband and myself at ease.

Barrow is a top-notch firm and takes your case very seriously. There are many options that will move your case really fast and give you initial comfort that someone is going to fight for you. However, success requires extensive homework on your part. When your position is weak without hard facts to support your claims all your attorney can do is create courtroom drama – that you may think is good but it works against you. So be very careful. There can be many twists and turns that you never anticipate and you better have someone who knows the system and makes you do your homework. Don’t fall for the purveyors of drama and made-for-TV courtroom antics. Yelling, screaming, and attacking your former spouse may make you feel good but it can work against you. It is important to understand that the court has heard it all and they don’t care for the drama. They only want to get to the facts of law in a logical and orderly manner. In working with Hugh Barrow over an extended period I learned to appreciate his calm and deliberate approach. We encountered many unexpected challenges from an aggressive and dramatic opposition. But divorce is not a jury trial. Over time I could see that the court did not want the drama from the other side and it was obvious it was all a smoke screen because they had nothing to support illogical positions. Conversely, Hugh was deliberate, steady, and directional with the facts and hard evidence. In the end our case was the most complete, based on facts and excellent documentation. The only mistakes made were on my end when I did not listen to Hugh. I learned to trust in Hugh and it is important to know that his approach is well respected in the courts and will serves you well.

Hugh and his staff are wonderful to work with. I have been a client for over three years. Hugh has always been there when I had questions, answering every text or call promptly. I highly recommend using this practice if you are going through a divorce and navigating custody issues.

Professional, but over worked and apathetic. Appeared as though he had never worked as counsel through a contentious matter. Always playing catch up. Happy to take our ideas and money, but never got out in front to stop ongoing problems.
