Does not make decisions based upon facts or truth. 100 % bias and rigid. No support for anything but hearsay without evidence. If parties all agree to settle outside of court she will single handedly block it verses hearing and considering what is best for families. Absolute worst demeanor and lacks compassion. Only cares about winning. No place for this type of practice in family court.

ABSOLUTELY the most bias woman so called friend of the court….only because appointed by her buddy! Put down statements she said my daughter made that she did not!! Sat with my ex, a woman obviously, for 23 hrs., talked to me for 40 min after falsely accusing me of being somehow impaired “over the phone”! Looked like an idiot after I had a full sobriety test done in which the officers job was threatened for helping me! Wow, people already know. There’s a reason she couldn’t win an election. Has to depend on a buddy to appoint her. Totally unprofessional. Comes apart in court….oops.. judge to the rescue.

2022 file charges against Tony Metcalfe for theif of riding lawn mower, burned mattresses much more, that paperwork disappeared, filed charges against Imolene Metcalfe for domestic violence and batterie, I stated that I have 5 videos of the insodences, Tammy Baker sent me a letter stating no evidence, her office never contacted me for the videos

Shelly is amazing!! My daughters grandparents sued me for grandparent visitation rights. I had an attorney and he did not want to take my case to trial. I went to Shelly just a few weeks before my trial was scheduled and knowing it would be difficult she still took on my case and represented me. With all of Shelly’s hard work and dedication she won this case for me. I could not be more thankful!

If I could give 0 stars for complete lack of communication, I would.

Lack of communication, After paying her retainer and going to court one time she withdrew from my case due to quote.. “they are going to keep us tied up in court and it’s going to be very time consuming after my ex retain new counsel…would never recommend

We talked to a dozen or more attorneys and she didn’t make us feel like she was too busy too deal with us. She listened to everything had to say start to finish. She never talked at us or down to us. She wasn’t condescending and she didn’t have a superiority complex like most of the lawyers we talked to. She was honest and straightforward. So far hands down best attorney in Bullitt County!

Tammy Baker had promised a swift divorce over a year ago for my partner. He constantly tries to call her or email her for status updates and gets the voicemail and very limited responses or updates. Over a month ago she said all he had to do was sign a paper via email and hasn’t even emailed him the paperwork. I understand that things come up and divorces can take time, but she ensured him a quick process over a year ago and has been difficult to work with even with simple answering of questions. Just not who I would want to work with again.

There are no amount of words to express how great it was to work WITH Shelly Alvey! She is honest even to the point that she will tell you what you do not want to hear (which is a good thing) as she does not sugar coat anything. Even going back to the very first time that Shelly and I had spoken on the phone, I had an instant trust in her and felt (even though she always warned that things could go either way) like things were going to be ok. She listened to me from day one, she was actually the only one throughout the entire system that listened to me and was there for me from start to finish. I wish I could give 100 stars instead of 5 on this review. I recommend going with Shelly if you are ever in need, she is the best!!

Mrs. Alvey was great to me during a mess of a child custody case…I had a previous lawyer before her who never responded who never completed what I had paid her to do…I found Mrs Alvey and she never went longer then 2-3 days without speaking to me regarding numerous court hearings, she’s very honest, even if it’s not what you want to hear, but that’s what makes her better then most, most will tell you anything you wanna hear for your money, Mrs Alvey on the other hand is not that way, She’s going to let you know all aspects and all possible outcomes regarding your case, even if it’s a outcome you don’t like….but she lets you know all possible scenarios so your not blind sided she’s great and I will always keep her as my lawyer I can’t thank her enough
