Teresa Hatfield took on my case suddenly as I searched for an attorney. She jumped in and took control immediately. Filed the appropriate paperwork to put things in order. Ms. Hatfield is a very knowledgeable family attorney. She sat down with me and explained the process and really made me feel at ease. Her and her staff handled my case professionally and always answered my calls or emails. Not once did I feel that she was trying to run up an attorney bill which is what most attorneys try to do. Her fee structure is set and you know ahead a time what the cost are. She really cares about her clients. I would recommend Ms. Teresa to anyone going through a divorce!!!!

Terrible experience. My fiancé hired Teresa for a child support and custody case based on her great reviews… but we had a completely different experience. She would charge extra fees that she said were court costs but claimed she could not get a receipt. From the CLERK OF COURT. She was supposed to obtain the child support statement of account and after months of claiming she was working on it, I got them emailed to us in one day. We gave her lots of evidence, including documents that have proven to be critical to this case, and it was clear after a year that she did not review them at all. I had to send them to her twice, then we had to sit her down in a lengthy meeting to go through them. Her unprofessionalism was unparalleled. She talked very disrespectfully about the judge, saying that he was “punting” every case until retirement and that we may have to appeal once he’s off the bench. She said this BEFORE we even went to court. She also kept underestimating the other lawyer, calling him “crazy.” When we did go to court, the other lawyer made Teresa look like a deer in the headlights. When we had an upcoming court date, I reached out to her to meet and it took her 9 days to respond. Actually, her secretary. Almost two years had passed and absolutely nothing got accomplished. We had it, so we dropped her for another attorney. He’s done more in 6 months than Teresa did in almost 2 years. Never has he charged extra fees out of nowhere. He clearly reviewed the evidence shortly after we sent it to him and made the other lawyer look like a fool in court. And the judge was fair and reasonable, nothing like how she painted him. The only positive we can say is that she lulled the defendants into a false sense of security with her lack of engagement or preparedness. I just wish she didn’t waste so much time doing it.

Absolutely amazing! It’s hard for me to find people who will maintain communication but Teresa was always there and on top of everything! I would definitely recommend her to any and everyone!
