Retaining Todd Martin was a huge mistake. If you are considering hiring a lawyer to handle your divorce/child custody case, look elsewhere! This guy took my money, and didn’t even complete the job he was hired to do. He is a poor negotiator with opposing counsel, ASAP to him means weeks later for a reply, and he failed to appear at my divorce hearing. Basically, he worked zero hours on my case. When discussing the terms I’d like him to include in the custody/visitation of my children, I was met with a tremendous amount of friction from Todd. I often wondered if Todd was representing my exwife instead of me! He mentioned something about refunding me a portion of my retainer, but I have serious doubts that will happen. If he had a shred of integrity, he’d refund every penny! Well, my version of ASAP is a little swifter. A grievance with the State of Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary board has been filed regarding this matter.
