When my partner and I were recently visiting New Orleans on vacation, we complained about the service at our hotel and the front desk clerk called the police and my partner was arrested and charged with battery. It was a baldfaced lie, but as he was thrown in the back of the police cruiser, we were confronting a complete sense of hopelessness. I immediately called a number of attorneys to get him released as soon as possible. Joe Bartels came recommended from a family friend and one of his partners called back right away. They immediately assured me that they were on the case and they were! The fee was reasonable and worth every penny. These lawyers are knowledgeable and experienced and they have relationships with all the officials who can speed up (or slow down) the process. A little bit later they were able to meet with my partner and then with me and they got the bogus charges dismissed -- so he has no record and we will never have to go back there -- as good an outcome as we could possibly expect. A few hours later he was released. Throughout the process, the attorneys and their staff were always available and were with us throughout the process. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough.

My friend got in some trouble. I contacted a few Law Offices to see what could be done. As this was very early on a Sunday morning, I didn't have a lot of hope anything would happen until at least Monday. But Joseph responded right away, listened, explained what he could do, quoted a fair price, and went to work immediately. By Sunday afternoon, my friend was already in a much better situation.
