I am writing this to give a completely honest review of my experience with Mouton & Mouton Law firm. I hired them to handle my divorce case. Basically they treated me like I was an advisory not a client. They treated me like they were going up against me, not trying to help me. I could never get in touch with Bhyllie, she pushed me off on her brother but he did not have time for me. We had a court date scheduled and they didn’t even know about it. I had to call several times to let them know about it. Finally the receptionist got the message to Bhyllie the day before the court date. The date had to be pushed back because they had done nothing on my case yet. I got the impression that they are way too busy to take on more clients. They should have told me this up front and not have taken my case. I gave them a $5,400 retainer and they did very little. As it turns out, we decided not to go trough with the divorce. I asked them to return some of my retainer but they said no, that I owed them more money if she gave me an itemized bill. Bhyllie claimed that the $5,400 was a flat fee that was charged to complete my case. I was not told this up front, I assumed it was a true “retainer” that would be drafted as my case proceeded. They did not have me sign any contract that explained the flat fee to initiate my case. Bhyllie then told me that “I don’t meet with Ex-clients who think we have done nothing.” She did offer to give me an itemized bill which would show that my “retainer” was used up. If you want a good attorney use Phil Kobetz. He will be very upfront about the charges and is one of the best attorneys in Lafayette.

I was referred to Bhyllie by a family member and she is absolutely amazing, she is excellent at what she does and very thorough. Having a fragile case, she has been absolutely hands down the best through a very difficult time, she has been extremely supportive every step of the way, and my children and I are eternally grateful! I would recommend Bhyllie to anyone she’s the best Attourney I’ve seen in this area to date!

First of all I would like to say if you think there is no hope and you’re at your wits end please give this law firm a call. Byllie is our main attorney and she has gone above and beyond!!!! Always available for answers. Even if I had one more question lol she was Understanding with that and always took her time to explain everything to me and to make me feel so much better. The reality of the situation is they are our attorneys and they know what is best for us. At times we are so confused and so emotionally drained that we just don’t think straight. At that point I would pick up the phone call Byllie voiced my concerns and she always made me feel 100% better. Shane also was involved and always came through. We are still on our journey but have come so far so much quicker than we ever anticipated. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone who’s looking for honest hard-working dependable and absolutely always there for you anytime you need anything. Keep them in your prayers because I know what they do is not easy to say the least. And I also pray for all the parents out there going through that horrible custody battle that they could put their children first and see that means more than anything.

Screwed me didn’t wanna make Nicole Breaux mad would not help me under any circumstances and was like the law is the law and I had an arrest issue warranted because of a no show which he advised I would be called because of a 10+ hour drive highly discouraged unless you have deep motivational pockets a complete waste of time and resources

To me the best attorney is the one who has the biggest heart, the most fight in them, the best interest of their client and the best interest of children. That attorney is none other than Bhyllie Mouton. Yet again she saved my kids lives by winning my custody battle and keeping them safe from harm. Do not waste ur. Money on this lawyer he never fought my case one bit i lost custody BC he never fought for my case he never wanted to go in front of a judge he was scared to face a judge i ask well isn't that y I paid him to argue my case well I learned he was more into his politics and campaign. Not my case when we were in court judge had to call and find him BC he wasn't' no where to be found he was more concerned about his campaign than my case what a waste of money !!!!!

My family had a serious legal problem and he helped us in our time of need. caring and helpful at every point. highly recommended. stood his ground with hard work, certainly earned his fees.
