I hired Bill and his team after facing a misdemeanor theft charge and I knew from the moment that I met with Bill at our initial consult that he was the lawyer for me. He is easy to relate to, understanding, and very honest. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but he is the type of man and person you want fighting on your side. He took the time to get to know me on a personal level and showed genuine interest in helping protect my career and future. I could not have felt more comfortable putting that responsibility in his hands.
His team was very helpful, responsive and considerate throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to relieve me of all the stress surrounding the case.
Bill was able to negotiate a filing and outright dismissal of my case without me ever having to appear at the arraignment. I cannot thank Bill and his tremendous team enough for all of their effort and support.
If you are looking to hire a team that will fight for you and defend your name and reputation, look no further than the Maine Criminal Defense Group!

Attorney Bly and his team are professional, responsive, and effective. I had a very specific case that could have serious negative effects on my future employment. Attorney Bly took the time to learn my circumstances and get me the best possible resolution—a dismissal. Being charged with a crime and navigating the whole process is very scary and overwhelming, but Attorney Bly and his team did a great job in alleviating the stress while managing expectations. I would 100% recommend WTB Law!

Bill and his team took the extra time required to understand the details of my case, and more importantly, the potential ramifications of this matter on my career. They knew what questions to ask of me, and how to utilize that information to obtain a preferential ruling. Bill's understanding of the law, my particular employment requirements and situation, and the details of the matter were second-to-none. He was reassuring throughout the process, while being effective in the management of my expectations. I am forever grateful to the WTB team for their assistance in resolving my matter in an expedited and successful manner! Thanks you!

Questionable anonymous caller, questionable probable cause entering my garage, questionable violation of my 4th amendment right. The state threw everything it could for an oui charge. So I called WTB Law they did a great job at keeping me informed about my case. Attorney Bly got the oui charge pleaded down to a reckless conduct. I had a lot to lose to risk it, so I took the deal, glad to get it over with. I was pleased with the outcome. I recommend WTB Law 100%.Thank you WTB Law!

Atty Bly couldn't promise exact results, but predicted the course of actions and likely results. He got exactly what he targeted for results. He comes through as he promises.
Make sure to participate and provide as much backup, info and additional resources for his work. I got extra letters and did extra (driving safety) courses for him to use.
This kind of jam is painful and expensive, and it was ++ expensive to make it better/settle... but well worth it while facing the alternative.
Its best to stay out of trouble, but if you find yourself in a spot, calling Atty Bly is the best move.

I came into Bill’s office a completely broken down mess in early June 2017. The night before I had pulled over on the side of the road during a panic attack. I wanted to keep myself and others on the road safe. An officer pulled behind me to do a wellness check. He had seen I had a history of a previous OUI conviction and seemed to assume that I was driving under the influence. I have had major knee surgery and have some physical limitations, unable to perform physical sobriety testing. The officer arrested me, believing I was intoxicated and took me to the county jail.
Upon arrival to the jail, I asked to use the bathroom as I take diuretics for high blood pressure. This request was denied repeatedly without any valid reason. The officer confirmed that urinating would not effect the breathalyzer result but would not budge. At almost 10 minutes into the wait period, I really had to go! In frustration, I said once, that if he wasn’t going to let me use the bathroom I wasn’t sure I was taking his test. I was then hauled off by guards and thrown into a holding cell. I was now facing a second OUI refusal and was devestated.
Bill was honest right from the get go. The penalties I was facing were severe. After hearing my story, he reassured me that he believed me. The DA made no reasonable offer so we prepared for jury trial. Bill spent 4-5 hours prepping me for trial.
We went to trial in December 2017. I could not have asked for any better defense. Bill was able to bring into serious question the officers’ memory, documentation and knowledge of field sobriety testing. The trial went unexpectedly into a second day. After almost four hours of deliberations, the jury was hung so a mistrial was declared! The DA’s office eventually offered a driving to endanger plea which I happily accepted.
The other part of my case was the BMV portion. It took four rescheduled hearings for it to finally be heard on the fifth. Of note, the hearing was after my trial. The officer failed to appear, my license suspension was rescinded and it was over! Unbelievable! I could not have hoped for better outcomes.
Regardless of our victory and even if my case had ended differently, I was very impressed with Bill and his office staff. Always polite, sympathetic, responsive and informative. A plus communication! I very much appreciated Bill’s honesty, even when it may have not been something I wanted to hear. He’s extremely knowledgeable and a strong advocate. I highly recommend him to anyone faced with this terrifying predicament that has significant and potentially life changing consequences. I am beyond grateful!
