I was always afraid of lawyers because when my daughter was 2 she was molested by her Dad and the attorney for her Dad was down right ruthless...so a few years later I had a situation where I needed to file bankruptcy.I searched and searched and found Chris. He was so sweet and understanding, not to mention knowledgeable. he made the process as easy as it could be by his knowledge. Attorney L'Hommedieu answered questions I had concerning bankruptcy and didn't pressure me to file. I thought about it for another year before I went back to see him again to actually file. It's a hard decision for anyone to make and he totally understands. If you have a lot of medical debt or other debt and feel overwhelmed, he can walk you through the process and keep you informed along the way. I find he is an excellent attorney and I would highly recommend him. If I need an attorney for any other reason in the future, I will certainly call him first.

Chris helped us with our bankruptcy and everything went well. When they started foreclosure proceedings we hit a few snags and Chris coached us along the way. He was quick to answer any of our questions. We would highly recommend Chris for any legal concerns.

While my case was really straight-forward, Mr. L'Hommedieu went above and beyond. I'm sure with the experience that he has, he could have handled my issue in his sleep. However, it wasn't his expediency that impressed me so much as it was the other skills he exhibited. He took a very depressing situation and had the utmost empathy for me. He also had a sense of humor that was very reassuring, something i certainly did not expect from a lawyer. Perhaps most importantly, though, he has the patience of a saint. i asked a LOT of questions. Not once did he make me feel as though i was an inconvenience or wasting his time, even though i'm sure i did on more than one occasion. Before deciding to hire him i admit that i "shopped around", trying to find representation for my case. Many were ok: they were helpful in answering my questions, but not very personable or empathetic. Some were down-right rude to me and made me feel worse about an already terrible situation. Mr. L'Hommedieu stood out head and shoulders above the rest. He truly made a bad experience as painless as it possibly could have been. Look, do i ever want to be in that same situation again? Absolutely not! But if i were to find myself there again, Mr. L'Hommedieu would be my first choice, bar none. I would recommend him very, very highly to anyone in need of legal representation without a moments hesitation.
