On June 2, 2019 I was riding my bicycle in preparation for the upcoming Trek Across Maine ride. While riding through an intersection I was struck by a pick up truck. I sustained a number of injuries, and my expensive road bike was totaled. In an attempt to settle the claim myself, I quickly discovered that trying to deal with insurance companies was not a job for the faint of heart. Nor was it a specialty of mine. My daughter recommended that I contact Rachel Deschuytner. This may be the best advice she ever gave me. I found Rachel to be professional, knowledgeable and very understanding. She conducted a thorough interview with me gathering all of the information that I had, and went to work. As the complexities of the claim proceeded, she kept me informed every step of the way. She was also very available for me to be in touch with if any concerns arose. At the end of the day, I was more than pleased with the settlement that she secured for me.
