On Wednesday July 7th, 2015, I was involved in a horrific car accident on my way to my dentist appointment from work around noon time. I was rushed to the hospital. I left with a neck brace, back, arm, leg, and a few more injuries. I finally took sometime as I'm leaving the hospital to call and report the claim to the parties insurance company. However, they wouldn't provide me with a rental car because their party didn't report claim. So I reported the claim to my insurance company and they put me in a rental that evening. As I was on my way to work the next day, I was in a lot of pain! I had to call out for the next 16 weeks, not knowing how seriously injured I was. That day I called out of work was because I searched for a law firm. Portner & Shure, PA was the first to pop up in a google search. I explained what was going on to Mr. John Portner. He said he would give me a call back in a couple minutes. Five minutes later I received a call from Mr. Richard Shure, explained what was going on, and he said he might be able to help. He transferred me to Senior Paralegal Pam Brown, who wanted to help out with my case. So, I called out of work that morning, and drove to their headquarter office in Columbia, MD. I had the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Richard Shure and Mrs. Pam Brown. They were happy to represent me. From that point on, Mrs. Pam took care of the insurance issues. She planned all of the conference calls, etc. She even arrange my doctor appointments. Mrs. Rosy Ferrell is Mrs. Pam Brown's assistant. She took care of me as well. There was always communication between Mrs. Rosy and Mrs. Pam throughout my physical therapy and other doctor appointments. Communication wise, they'll get in touch within a week or two weeks, sometimes that day depending on if they are in court, etc... They are very busy, and very good at what they do! My case came to a closing after 8 months where a very high settlement offer was reached. Mrs. Pam & Mrs. Rosse fought when the insurance company tried to low ball me and my injuries three different times. By them fighting on my case, they were able to pull an additional $15000 grand towards my PIP case. They took care of all of my medical bills from the settlement, hospital fees, etc etc. All I did was focus on my recovery and try my best to get back to work. I hope to never be in another accident as bad as mine was, however, I'll definitely reach out to Mr. Richard Shure, Mrs. Pamela Brown, and Mrs. Rosse Farrell if i experience anything like this again. This time, I'll make sure to let them handle everything from the moment I'm in the emergency room instead of reaching out to the other parties insurance company. I'll recommend them to my family and friends as well. I would definitely recommened advising Portner & Shure, PPA counsel first before contacting any other law firm in the DMV area. If you are looking for an attorney that will fight for you like no other, then you're in the right place . I retained Mr. Portner as my attorney and Shonta was the paralegal assigned to my auto accident case. I was really blown away with the amount of commitment and strategic defense against the insurance company. My outcome surpassed what I had expected. I was updated periodically throughout the entire process. Thank you Portner & Shure for getting me such a great outcome!

I had an accident 9/2015 and had a free consultation. The paralegal Rebecca seemed nice and I thought she knew what she was talking about so I made the mistake of choosing Portner and Shure to represent me in my claim. I have never met nor spoken to the lawyers and the case was handled by two horrible paralegals who did not even answer my email or phone calls. I had to ask the receptionist to speak directly to the lawyer for the paralegal to return my call for close to a month. Rebecca even gave me an attitude when she spoke to me after asking to speak to the lawyer. It was the most frustrating situation I have ever faced. The law firm also did not hold true to their promise of getting my car fully fixed as Rebecca the paralegal working on the case stated. I would not recommend this law firm to my worst enemy.
