After our daughter had her DUI charge, we were lost as to what we should do and how she should go about her defense. Her father found Ed Tayter and we were so appreciative of his knowledge of the system and exactly what she needed to do as early as possible. His outstanding knowledge of the court system and judges speaks highly. He was even approached by another lawyer with questions for his case and Ed was more than helpful to the other lawyer. My daughter received the best guidance and for that we our grateful.

I hired Ed because I liked his style, and he is a family person like me. He even made accommodations to meet me on a Saturday. The main reason to hire Ed though, is because he primarily focuses on DUI cases. I was facing a DUI in Calvert County, and I needed Ed’s help. Ed’s level of communication after I hired him was excellent, he responded to my phone calls and texts immediately every time. The day of court, I was pretty nervous, even though Ed already told me what the outcome was going to be. Ed had met previously with the state prosecutor, and they state agreed to Ed’s requests. There was no evidence from the DUI charge, and even though I didn’t do very well on the “walk test”, Ed was able to prove that it was primarily due to my broken foot and not because they assumed I had been drinking. The state amended the DUI charge, and charged me with a speeding ticket since I was initially pulled over for speeding. The speeding ticket resulted into a PBJ (unsupervised) with NO points, and a $200.00 court fine. I was quite relieved when the judge said that in court. I would most definitely recommend Ed Tayter as the best DUI attorney in Maryland. He was great!

After my son received a DUI I was overwhelmed and upset because he has a CDL and we knew due to these infractions his license and employment were in jeopardy. Mr Tayter is very knowledgeable with his cases. I was arrested August 2013 for my first DUI. Not only the police officer found that I was extremely intoxicated during the night of the incident, I was also charged with attempt fleeting by vehicle and attempt fleeting on foot, due to my extreme intoxication. I was awfully anxious after the incident and sought several lawyers for their opinion; yet Mr. Tayter was the only one that could assuage my concerns. When you hire him, not only you are paying for his expertise on the subject matter, you are also paying for his connection with other lawyers, and most importantly, his knowledge of the judges in Maryland area. He promised me that there will be a 90% chance that I will get out with a PBJ, with a few hundred dollar fines and no further records on my background whatsoever. At first I was a little skeptical about the percentage that he threw out, but after my court day today I was not disappointed at the result: the judge gave me a PBJ of one year probation with no fines. I was really satisfied with Mr Tayter's knowledge and experience on handling DUI cases, and would definitely recommend him for anyone in Maryland who made the same mistake like I did lats year and needed a lawyer to provide them with the best defense they deserve. Another plus for Mr Tayter is that he is willing to offer an alternative payment plan who those who are poor and needed it. He is eager to help and enthusiastic to learn about his clients, which made the rapport established really easy for us.

This was all a new experience for me and I was initially very worried. This was my first DUI and/or criminal charge.
