I don't even know where to begin nor do I think I have the words to describe Erick Garcia. It's been an honor/pleasure having Mr. Gracia represent me in two consequential cases. The first being me a 20 of years of age being charge with: two misdemeanor counts(cds&firearm) as well as 3 felony counts (cds&firearm). At the time of my search and various consultations with laws firm. I was hearing outrageous payment options, which were far beyond my financial reach was at my wits end. Until I found Erick Garcia, he was able to setup a payment plan in which I could afford. Mr. Gracia was able to work out a plea arrangement, convicting me of only one misdemeanor count. Punishable by 3months of home detention, running concurrent with a 3year probation, eligible for expungement of upon probation completion. It might not sound as victorious as to you the reader; but anything is beside jail is a win!! The second: more recent, more severe incident happens with me being 23 years of age. Being charged for: 1 misdemeanor count(cds), 4 felony counts(cds&firearm), one being carrying a mandatory 5 year minimum. On top of all the charges I was 6 months shy of completing probation!! For those who are unaware, when you violate probation, you must serve what is called "back-up time"; which is the period serve in prison if not for probation. So, you can only imagine what I was feeling. Erick was there from Day 1 to helping me receive a bond for my initial arrest, to helping me receive a bond for my violation of probation, he was down for the long haul. Remember when I said this incident was more severe thus being the last charges didn't get forwarded to trial; these ones did. The last incident police apprehended me in the street; this incident at tactical swat team performed a search warrant of my residence. "The situation was nerve wracking none the less", that's what I would have said if Erick wasn't by my side. He did everything a lawyer should from: sending in motions to suppress evidence, motions to dismiss charges. Making sure he transparent with his client in terms of what he thinks the better more logical route is to go, the calm/open minded mindset in hearing his client’s concerns, the REALISTIC expectations he sets for the future. One thing that really separates Erick from the rest is he doesn't promise a win nor a loss, he lays out the facts in front you and discusses on the key components in the case which is going to decide the outcome of the case. Yet, he still moves one case at time, "Let’s see what happens with this before we talk about that", if you hire Erick, you’ll hear him say that a lot. It's that type of mindset that truly takes the anxiety from the client. With all the motions Mr. Garcia file being denied we decided to take the case to trial. It was a completely new experience from me but under the guidance of Mr. Gracia as well as the vast knowledge he shared and the desire he has to make sure his client to fully understand the Statute code’s pertaining to one's specific case. I honestly felt like I could represent myself and win; but that’s what Erick for!!! Throughout the trial he made sure my voice was heard, asking for my finale "OK" with any decision making. Erick Gracia is Mr. Thank You. With his aggressive representing style, his constant questioning of proper procedure, interpretation of the law and how the words can be flipped, the way he able to bring the empathy in humans in which we share. I was found NOT GULITY on all COUNTS!!! With all property seized ordered to be return to the resident. It's almost like the whole was one nightmare; I woke up from. Do yourself a favor and hire Erick Garcia for your council. There's no one more suited to defend you from prosecution more than a former prosecutor themselves! Erick Gracia is Mr. Thank You!
