Kathryn Batey was the singular difference between the right outcome and the wrong outcome. I was wrongly accused of a crime, but no one cared, and the justice system treated me like I was guilty throughout the entire process. It mattered to Kathryn that I was innocent, and she promised to fight for me all the way to the end. At every turn she was reassuring, gave me sound advice, knew how to navigate an unjust situation, and knew how to make the right decisions that would allow me to be found innocent. She listened, and facilitated the opportunity for my innocence to be heard. When the justice system is broken and the innocent can be accused of criminal activity it takes someone like Kathryn to undo the wrong in a system that is broken. She was that for me, she was Lady Justice, when the justice system failed. I cannot give a high enough recommendation nor can I fully capture in words how much I feel she single-handedly put my life back on track. If you are being wrongly charged with a crime you did not commit, there is no one who will fight harder for you than Kathryn.
