Pros
1
Competent and experienced attorneys who provide excellent legal representation
“Mike Nakamura and Jessica Baker could not have been more helpful. They tracked down the other driver's insurance after he gave me wrong information. They always kept me up to date on what was going on in my case and were available whenever I had a question.”
2
Excellent communication and customer service
“They met with us at the start of the process to go over everything and communicated with us regularly throughout the period that followed. Whenever we had a question, no matter how inane, they were not only happy to help us with it, but were incredibly quick to do so as well.”
3
Thorough and proactive in handling complex legal matters
“They clearly had a very strong knowledge about everything and we could see this through how they negotiated on our behalf with the insurance company of the other driver. When the insurance company made an initial low-ball offer, Mike engaged with them very constructively and professionally, but he was also knew in what ballpark we should be looking.”
4
Compassionate and understanding of clients' needs
“They always provided us with advice and suggestions, but never pressured us to do anything, which led us to feel both informed but also fully empowered when making decisions.”
5
Successful in achieving favorable outcomes for clients
“Because of their help, we were able to make a settlement that will provide for my daughter in the future.”
Cons
1
Instances of poor communication and responsiveness
“Horrible communication and that office moves slow as snails. When my daughter passed (Oct 15) we notified him the NEXT day so his office could pull the remainder of her records. They were not even requested until the beginning of November.”
2
Concerns about unethical billing practices and overcharging
“During a meeting, we asked a question about placing a piece of property we owned in Washington, DC as a Sole Proprietorship into the LLC. Our Shulman attorney team researched it, then told us 'Don't do it, it will cost you so much more money at approximately $7,500.' We took their advice and left the property out of the LLC. Imagine our surprise when we received the final bill from Shulman and it was several thousand dollars more than the 'it will cost you so much more path' we didn't take!”
