Cons
1
Potential conflict of interest if the lawyer has personal connections to the other party
“NO THE PHONE REFERRAL SERVICE, I have to underline that because they are incredible and do they best to assist. Back to Mr.Chester! I contacted him for a Condo Association dispute. first thing on the phone, He asked me what is the management company, I told him and he answered: " the company is owned by a good friend of his". Without being an attorney I spotted a conflict of interest right at the beginning of the conversation and the end of the conversation attests it and the lack of objectivity of this attorney.”
2
Lawyers may not always be fully prepared or engaged in the client's case
“Lawyer showed up to court begged to negotiate instead of going to trial due to not being prepared and coming back the night before trial from vacation. But had the nerve to charge for case prep and the final trial, even though most of the hours she charged for case preparation, she was actually on vacation for.”
