This review has been way over due. Josephia Rouse helped me tremendously with my divorce on January 18, 2022. After my consultation with her I knew i was in good hands. She was very responsive and very professional as well and expediate. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing assistance. Her law firm made me feel at ease. So again, thank you Team Rouse

I paid for great service. It was a long road, but we were prepared and the other side wasn’t. That made the difference!

Whether it was a lie from my ex or a trick from her attorney my attorney was consistently on it. We were prepared for court every time. I paid for a lot of my ex’s none sense but it was worth it when I got primary custody.

One should always be VERY selective when searching for a Lawyer and hopefully this review will help you if you’re considering the services of The Law Offices of Josephia Rouse. Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed for literally everything, regardless of any set fee you’ve already paid. I retained Josephia Rouse and paid a set fee to assist me. One would think that paying a set fee would cover things like administrative actions (scanning, uploading, emailing, etc) in addition to actually representing me in court, which she either didn’t show up for or a rep from her firm showed up late and unprepared for. Every time I turned around I was invoiced for scans, emails (even ones I didn’t initiate), calls…for example, $60 for scanning/printing/uploading…$35 for an email I sent her with information she should have already been aware of and notified me about…the list goes on. No one from her office ever returns a phone call unless you rapid fire call dozens of times to get someone’s attention. One time I called nearly 20 times in a few hours because, regardless of me telling the firms answering service it was serious emergency. I still didn’t hear from anyone until a day or 2 later..and I was charged fees for it. Also, be sure to keep a copy of any documents you sign when you engage this firm. If not you run the risk of them being deleted or hidden from you and requests to obtain copies will go unanswered but charged for. I wasn’t getting my money’s worth, nor was I getting properly represented and was forced to end my relationship with her firm and find better, more competent representation that actually cared about who they represented…someone that wasn’t entirely money motivated. Long story short, if you’re looking to go broke in order to have legal representation regarding your case, you’re in the right place. If you’re looking for a competent, engaging firm/Attorney that has your best interest in mind, I highly suggest you continue your search. You will not find it at The Law Offices of Josephia Rouse. Keep looking!

I would highly recommend Josephia Please G Rouse as a divorce lawyer. She is very nice, professional and understand. She took time to sit be me 1:1 to listen and address my concerns. I truly felt that I was for once being heard. She response to my calls in a timely manner (mostly right away) and addressed my concerns. I would 100% recommend Ms. Rouse if you life in the DMV around, she knows what she is doing and her plan actually works ;-) Joy

I must share my current experience with Ms. Rouse. I highly recommend anyone facing family litigation (Divorce & Custody) not to choose Ms. Rouse. Incorrect information was stated to the courts without my knowledge causing me to have pay for attorney’s fees of the plaintiff due to Ms. Rouse negligence. To make matters worse she abandoned me during hearing yesterday before court concluded. We are currently scheduled for trial on Monday and I have repeatedly called and emailed her urging to discuss the upcoming trial for preparations as well provide list of witnesses. Again no response I Urge anyone seeking assistance regarding Custody or Divorce stay far away from Ms. Rouse.

Attorney Rouse handled by Divorce case. She fought hard to get me my desired results including Custody of my Children. I was very impressed with her node of delivery in Court which at face value was calm but very sharp and precise. I highly recommend her services.

Terrible. Started paperwork in August 9months later could not find the paperwork that was signed and never filed. Constantly late with filing paperwork. Unreliable and will call quickly for money without following through on processing and filing. When processing done no complete details potentially puts you in jeopardy of losing your case.

I needed to figure out my next best steps dealing with my child's father. She went through the steps and what I could expect from the courts. We were able to settle things outside of court and that saved me sooo much money.

I love this attorney. I was lost and I where to turn. She was kind and what I loved the most is she was excellent in knowing the law and applying it to your case. She is amazing in the court room. If you want someone to fight for you, she is the lady!
