I worked with Ms. Marjorie DiLima and Ms. Sylvia Borenstein to begin my separation agreement and also to help with a protective order hearing and both of them were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful to me. I even purchased Ms. DiLima's book in case I need to go through this again! I would absolutely use this practice again if I needed them.

I am so thankful for what Ms. DiLima did for me and my family during my divorce. She brought a calmness to the chaos created by my ex-wife. My ex-wife was bent on total destruction and Ms. DiLima managed the divorce settlement to the 50-50 compromise I desired. I can’t say enough good things about Ms. DiLima, her experience, and her effectiveness.

I was referred to Morgan Appel with Helfant & Wills, LLC for my child custody, visitation and support case. One week before trial, I was informed that the defendant had hired representation, despite us never having representation in the past. Morgan Appel hit the ground running and became a master of my case. In the first couple days, she immediately contacted witnesses, submitted subpoenas, read a myriad of transcripts, reviewed the history of my past filings, as well as withdrew and accurately re-filed on my behalf. I was so impressed by her ability to get up to speed on all the facts, considering the little time and abundance of transcripts, text messages, screenshots and emails; over 800 pages per item! My trial was postponed, which only gave Morgan the opportunity to impress me even more. She dove into every detail of my timeline with patience and compassion. Her advice only better exemplified her experience and understanding of child custody and child support orders. She walked me through practical settlement offers and expected outcomes for my requests. In recognizing this, she took every opportunity to reiterate the process step-by step, even if that meant taking time out her evening on the 4th of July to make sure I felt fully prepared. If you are lucky, she may even let you facetime with her pup, just to calm the jitters a bit! Morgan leaves no stones unturned. As if having Morgan wasn't enough, I also had Mr. Judicial Encyclopedia himself, Vince Wills. In our first in-person meeting, Vince's alert was summoned by the defendant's subpoena demands. Like a computer, Vince stated the book, volume and PAGE we would find the article that supported his inkling-and he was of course correct. I could not have asked for a better team. Morgan and Vince treated my case with a standard of attention and respect that goes beyond my expectations.The outcome was in our favor and actually more than I had even expected thanks to their diligence and skill. I never liked the phrase “new normal.” I disliked it even more when it started prefixing every Covid related mandate. Looking at the words in my Custody and Access Order, with tears streaming down my face and chest tightening with panic, now I really hated the phrase. It was impossible to accept that I had lost custody of my three children and I was being told that the “new normal” was my children living over 700 miles away and my only access was a supervised call at father’s discretion. I knew the ruling was unfair. I knew the things I was being accused of were untrue. But I did not feel any attorney, especially after looking at the Court rulings would believe me. I was able to focus on work and other family matters because I knew Morgan was working around the clock, making sure we did not miss a deadline or detail. She kept me informed, answered my questions, and guided me many times off the ledge. The MHW staff were also a pleasure to work with. Their paralegal, Kim, is professional and efficient. She made sure I received a copy of every pleading and Court filing in my case. She was also easy to work with on discovery and made me feel welcome each time I called or visited the office. I will be eternally grateful for the work MHW did on my behalf.
