I submitted the initial consultation fee, met with the lawyer, after which I received no communication at follow up as whether they intended to take my case or not. They told me they would respond withing 48 hours. I asked a number of times if they intended to take the case and got no response. It seems they may be overworked/unorganized; meeting would get rescheduled without informing me, I would have to send multiple follow-up emails to get any response. While the lawyer seemed knowledgeable, the lack of communication seems somewhat unprofessional.

From the beginning to the end Melehy and Associates were kind, knowledgeable, and executed with urgency. This is honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with an attorney. My case was a wages case against a Fortune 500 company that denied paying what I rightfully earned. Mr and Mrs. Melehy and their team specifically Andrew B….took my case with utmost seriousness and even though it went to arbitration we received a successful outcome and the company settled . I received my check in less time then we anticipated and I am very happy. I actually felt bad for my child’s father for using Esther Coleman. He even complained to me as well and stated he wished he never wasted money on her and that he wishes this whole situation was over with but of course it’s not, because of Esther Coleman! But I’m not him and I’m not going to be quiet about it. Since this is STILL an ongoing issue. She does not communicate with my attorney. She sent out another persons case information to my attorney that was not even relevant to us. So now we have someone else’s earnings information. She’s LATE on filing every single piece of information which has held up majority of our court case. My attorney reaches out multiple times with NO response from Coleman. We had a meeting with a magistrate and even the magistrate seemed annoyed with Coleman! Magistrate even asked her if her paperwork and signature would be done same day as that’s ALL me and my attorney were waiting on, and here we are 4 days later with nothing. Course all we heard out of her mouth were excuses… “well I have this this and this…” Like no, not time for excuses. Do your job. And do it correctly. I honestly have half the mind to report her to the bar at this rate. Such an incompetent attorney. Spare yourselves from trying to use her. She will get you screwed over in court. Update : After careful consideration I will be reporting Coleman to the bar association as she has caused nothing but extra unneeded and unnecessary attorney fees for me that could have been avoided had she done her job correctly for my child’s father. Now he has a new attorney from this firm who is not even licensed to practice law in Maryland in my county! After ! They called my attorney to complain about my Google review! The new attorney can’t even get the documents completed correctly either and I had to sit and review and edit the whole thing for my attorney!

They were supposed to represent me, Esther let perjury in 5 instances stand, did not file motions in time and postponed twice a contempt for court order visitation violation. Several reviews are fake, if you chose them check court records on actual cases.

I was very pleased at the services this law firm provided. The attorneys were extremely knowledgeable, very responsive and compassionate. I would definitely refer them to anyone. If I ever needed legal assistance again, I would go directly to them. Thank you!
