He’s knowledgeable, handles every client with respect and candor, and goes above and beyond to make sure YOU are satisfied as a client. I was illegally evicted and called Gary immediately. My former landlord has taken it upon herself to leave a dishonest, pathetic one-star review on this page as result of Mr. Bernstein’s representation of me because Gary makes it clear that he’s here solely for his CLIENTS benefit & will not be intimidated or influenced by other parties. I couldn’t be more pleased with his work and will continue to recommend Mr. Bernstein to everyone I know. Do yourself a favor and give him a call.

I got a call from a relative saying she was too drunk to drive home. I said of course. I was at DE Park and said I'd be there shortly. I picked her up and took her home. I headed back to Havre de Grace and of course slid my truck on black ice turning onto the exit ramp. Went off the road straight into a tree. Dui entailed with 5 citations issued. Gary got me enrolled into the interlock scam by the MVA, therapy and then in AA. My 1st and only DUI with no jail time and payed only 3 out 5 tickets. I highly recommend him.

Gary is the best. My husband was arrested for drinking and driving. Gary met with him immediately, told him exactly what to do, and then got an excellent result in court by working out a deal with the prosecutor to avoid a DUI/DWI on his record. I can't thank him enough. He is the best and knows everything and everyone when it comes to these cases.

Absolutely awesome. Friendly but to the point which is hard to find in traffic law. Would recommend him to anybody!!

One of the most knowledgeable attorney's I've ever met. He has the history to prove his value when it come to dui and Criminal cases. There is no other factor more important than having a competent attorney! Don't skimp go for the best. NO PLEA!

By far the best criminal attorney in MD, if not the USA. I’ve had to use him on 3 separate cases, and all 3 cases (which were all very serious, and in different counties) were ALL dismissed. He made the prosecutors fold in half. One of my cases was so serious it was all over the news. My next door neighbor was an attorney at the time, I went to him and asked him if his child was in trouble who would he call? Without hesitation he said Gary Bernstein. I’d give him 100 stars if I could.

I’m editing my review simply because the original was based off of emotion I was feeling at the time and not facts. In 2017 I hired Gary Bernstein to defend me against a Harford County Court Case. I was charged with a few traffic violations and the main charge they wanted to stick me with was “leaving the scene of an accident and failing to provide or render aid” I left the scene in an ambulance and my cousin died on her way to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest from a punctured lung…nothing that I could have done that night could have saved my cousin other than us not getting into that truck to begin with. The maximum sentence for this charge carries five years. They offered me 4, all suspended but six months. I said NO! I refused to take the deal and then Gary went back to deliberate once more. He came back and offered me the same deal but with a delayed sentence. I refused again, I wanted to take my chances going up against a jury and Gary called me “stupid” right in front of everyone in the hallways of Harford County Circuit Courthouse. He threatened if I did not take this deal he would “strike his own appearance” & he would let me “go in front of the judge while he would not say a word” With my mother in tears begging me to take the deal and the promise that I would be home on the delayed sentence for my sons first birthday…I reluctantly agreed. Feelings surrounding this case have been redacted from this review, only leaving the facts.
