I am young and have fought a very long battle to get disability. With Adam’s help, I was able to FINALLY get awarded benefits! Now I can focus on getting my life back without making myself sick with worry over finances. If I could, I would’ve called them from the very start!!

I give them five stars because my case took about 3 years to win but I did! During those 3 years they took care of all my paperwork and kept me updated every step of the way! They answered all my questions, returned all my calls and made me feel like they really cared about me not only my case!

My long term disability company acquired Doherty, Cella, Keane & Associates to get me through the process of obtaining Social Security disability benefits. I had been contacted multiple times during this journey by the law firm, updating me throughout this the lengthy process, by mail, email and phone. Each time I was contacted by any part of the legal team they were always very professional, kind and encouraging. Having to apply for Social Security disability benefits is probably one of the most stressful situations to be in. After applying for benefits, being turned down twice and finding out I had to participate in a hearing with a judge really took a toll on me. During the final part of this journey I had multiple phone conversations with Attorney Coco Little, I was reassured that this was a very normal process and not to feel discouraged. She was so easy to talk to, she definitely calmed my nerves. She explained the entire process and was so encouraging, she made me feel confident and at ease. I am a 53-year-old grandparent of three, parent of three, and spouse of one of 32 years. I was raised by a loving and caring family and instilled with the values and traits of traditional coastal New Englanders. I was hardened by my military experiences. I would describe myself as often enduring hardship without complaint, deeply committed to family, persistent, pragmatic, frugal, and fiercely valuing self-reliance and personal freedom. In March 1994 I survived the Fort Bragg Green Ramp Disaster, when a mid-air collision caused hundreds of service members to become casualties. It was the deadliest day for Fort Bragg and the 82nd Airborne Division since WWII. In December 1994 I suffered an 800’ fall when my parachute malfunctioned and immediately deployed to Panama in support of Operation Safe Haven Safe Passage, where dozens of soldiers were injured by hundreds of rioting refugees throwing thousands of rocks and dubbed the “Cuban Rock Concert”. Sometime in 1995, the Army diagnosed and treated some of my physical injuries and medically retired me in 1996. Upon separation the Veterans Administration enrolled me in their Vocational Rehabilitation Program to retrain me for sedentary work. I have been in digital communications ever since. The last 15 years of which I worked for the Joint Special Operation Command, tasked to ensure compatibility of communications systems and standard operating procedures of the different special operations units. In December 2022 I expressed concerns about my degrading condition to my private primary care physician, who validated my concerns and built my comprehensive care team and in January 2023 I applied for short term disability insurance with my employer. In July 2023 I transitioned to long term disability insurance. In November 2023 I was terminated by my employer. DCKA successfully acquired me awards of a Veterans Administration compensation rating of 100%, backdated to NOV 2022, and a fully favorable Social Security Administration SSDI approval for JAN 2023.
