When you look at what it takes in terms of documents to buy or sell a house - it's daunting. Fact is, if a house hasn't been sold for a long time and has been refinanced multiple times, you never know what you are go to find. Are all documents complete? Did anything go missing in all the refinancing we did? In our case we had a big issue. To make things worse I had already rid the documents of my first closing on the house decades ago. I thought having the latest documents of the latest refinancing was going to be enough - I was wrong. We hired Bill as our closing lawyer for a property we were selling. Bill found a big issue in our very first closing on the property decades ago which will stop the sale of the property. We were devastated because there was nothing we could do as the docs no longer existed. Bill came through for us. He was able to track the lineage of all the refis we had done to find what was missing and who to contact to get it. Bill was being Mr.Sherlock Holmes for us. He coached us through the entire process, kept me from losing my mind over this issue and still close on time! Bill was our miracle man!
