Meredith handled my divorce and also prepared trust for me. I was exceptional pleased with her knowledge skills and ability. She also was very fair in her billing and compassionate during this very difficult time in my life. She responded to phone calls and emails I never had problems with getting in touch with her. I highly recommend Meredith for anyone needing a family attorney.

I hired Stratford as a limited representation attorney and paid her retainer on 16 April. Three weeks later and $875 poorer, I fired her. Her charges were outrageous & work ethic poor. Highlight of the overbilling : $300 for a 1 paragraph fax sent to the opposing lawyer-she referred to me by an incorrect surname. Evidently proof reading costs more. It took her 3 wks to change my court date, then she did so w/o consulting me. Since she was not in her office when she told me to come & four days later would not return 2 phone calls spaced 3 days apart, I had to call the court to find she changed the date. 1hr $75 consult, and only $200 of my 1K retainer returned. She billed 1.5 hrs. to call the opposing attorney to consult with him to change the date. That should have been 15 minutes or 30 tops. Not surprisingly, she did not respond to the letter I sent her regarding the bill; evidently she did not see anything amiss when I sent a copy of the wrong name fax to her. The only things she did promptly & efficiently was cash my check and take my money. In my experience with her, it's evident that Limited Assistance Representation means limited proficiency, amorality, and a blatant lack of professional conduct.
