Colleen Garry is no doubt a very talented, experienced, intelligent and hard working lawyer - one of the best. However, she is at capacity right now for legal cases. She is a solo practitioner without a paralegal and she does her law practice as a part timer, as her State Representative Duties is her full time job. It would not be fair to her current clients, or those who are looking for legal representation, for her to take on new cases. There are plenty of attorneys out there who will take any case you all may have, providing you have the funds to pay their fees. Good luck and God Speed as you all look elsewhere for legal help.

Colleen was hired to help my spouse and I navigate through a situation involving my daughters other parent terminating their rights and my spouse adopting them. She was very considerate of the delicate situation and walked us through everything. She even had a special ceremony with our daughters, including our son and it was really a nice touch. She even photographed the event! You don't see lawyers like Colleen anymore...very rare.. Thank you for everything Colleen, it meant a lot to me.

Very personal attention

I have a very important child custody issue and I have been searching and searching for a good attorney in MA. When I came across Colleen she got back to me right away. She did a consultation with me that went very well. I just knew she was the lawyer I wanted to work with. She was nice, she had some good suggestions and she listened to what I had to say. She let me know the amount I needed in order for her to start my case. I told her I would be back in touch as soon as possible because I wanted to work with her. I needed a couple days to gather the money and I was able to come up with what she requested and more. I called her back and I had to leave a voicemail and never got a response. I called her for two weeks straight with NO ANSWER and NO CALL BACK. It was very saddening because I was excited for her to work with me. I just knew I chose the right attorney. But sadly to this day she still hasn’t bothered to return any of my calls, if not just to say she didn’t want to take me on as a client. If she didn’t want to work with me that’s completely fine. Why would you just get someone excited for you to work on their case and then disappear on them? I felt that was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful because it wasted my time. I could of been seeking help from someone else. *Edit* I was NEVER informed that I needed to mail you a retainer and any documents. You told me how much the retainer was and that’s it. I called you numerous times and left SEVERAL voicemails for you. I let you know I really wanted to work with you, I had my retainer and asked what the next steps were. My initial 22 minute consultation with you was on 12/29/20. I haven’t spoken to you since. I still have that call and all my attempts in my call log, if you would like me to post them? I understand you busy being, but it’s been well over a month with no response? You were super quick to respond to a review. Any normal business professional would of immediately tried to correct the situation. Instead, you chose to try and save face on a social site. It wouldn’t of changed my mind from not wanting to work with you anymore, but I would of respected that more. After the way you treated me, you think I want you working on my case? No ma’am, I’ll pass. I’ve already moved forward with someone else but I wanted to write a review to show my disappointment. Hopefully no one else goes through this. At least I finally got a response after a month of waiting and unanswered calls, thanks!

Colleen has been my Attorney for many years. She has represented me through a divorce and numerous legal matters from wills to very serious matters. She is a champion for her clients! Her dedication to law is only outshined by her compassion for people in all walks of life.
