Annette gave up time to speak with me about navigating adult support services for my two young adult children with different disabilities. She was on point and gave me specific guidelines to use in advocacy meetings that provided me with the best chance for my children. She was honest and kind. I would not hestitate to hire her.

Five years ago Annette Hines assisted my family in creating my mother's estate plan. I now have an issue with a trust she drafted. I contacted the office as I have questions and concerns. Her office advised me that Attorney Hines will not speak with me about this. I have not asked for assistance or representation, simply information that I am happy to pay the firms going rate for. I was not informed for the reason for this refusal despite my asking. Additionally, during the process of her representing my family, she was slow to respond to emails and calls and treated me in a way that was condescending and patronizing. I would not recommend this firm and would advise that you find an attorney and a firm that you feel will represent you with respect and advocacy and will stand behind the work they have done.

As a financial advisor, one of the most complex situations I find myself in is providing guidance to individuals with a family member with special needs. Annette and her team at The Special Needs Companies are an amazing resource and I would never think of advising a special needs family without consulting them. I would highly recommend her online courses for families trying navigate and properly plan for their loved one, as well as professionals looking to better understand the challenges that their clients are facing.

My experience with Annette Hines began many years ago - before Special Needs Law Group - as an advocate in dealing with SPED in middle school. Since then she has helped us with eligibility for DDS and done our estate planning, including Supplemental Needs Trusts. I continue to go to her for questions related to SSI/Social Security, health insurance, MassHealth, and future Medicare/Medicaid dual eligibility. It's all so complicated, but thankfully she knows it all! She has always been caring, knowledgeable, supportive and up to date with all the latest rule changes. I highly recommend the Special Needs Law Group!
