Andrew is amazing, professional, quick, and reasonably priced. He helped me with draw up a contract with a long-term house guest and I think that the contract was one key reason why the house guest situation was successful. More recently, Andrew is doing pro-bono work for Amherst Survival Center. He has already reviewed one contract and will be reviewing another one in a couple of months. I recommend Andrew whole heartedly.

This was the worst possible experience I could have imagined in seeking legal advice. Attorney Bass is part of a network for Metlife legal insurance which covers certain processes, but from the start I was made to feel like this was more hassle than it was worth for him, which begs the question of why he chose to be part of that network in the first place. In the end, in spite of getting confirmation in writing that the matter I was seeking support with was covered, I had to attend an examination under oath without any legal support, and after sending two short pieces of email correspondence on my behalf, which I had to chase multiple times for, he informed the attorney for the insurance company that he was no longer representing me, so not even bothering with the courtesy to tell me first. I suppose it should not surprise me, considering that they even got my name wrong when addressimg emails to me, but I am still shocked at how appalling and damaging this whole experience has been.

I was impressed by how patient and empathetic Andrew was as I had a lot of questions and concerns about a construction small claims issue. He helped us with getting a court case dismissed. He took us down all the pathways and explained it all clearly. It was great to be listened to and respected, but also get honest advice. I can highly recommend!

We highly recommend Andrew Bass to serve as attorney to represent any individual, business or corporation to address any civil matter.
In the fall of 2020, we purchased a home to be built in Central Massachusetts. The home was to be completed by February 2021. The completion date was delayed and the contract was extended twice. Once construction began, with no prior communication, the builder sent a letter indicating that the period of time to extend the contract an additional time had elapsed and requested that we sign a document releasing him of the contract, which would allow him to return our deposit. During the many months that had elapsed between the time the contract was signed and the time we received this letter, interest rates significantly increased and the housing market had crashed, essentially denying us our opportunity to relocate.
Rather than sign the document, we felt it was important to hold this builder accountable for what we perceived to be unethical practice.
We knew of Andrew Bass as a well known and highly respected member of the Hadley MA community. We hired Attorney Bass to represent us in this civil matter. From the beginning and as the case progressed, the builders had the luxury of referring to a signed contract that indicated an expiration date. Our case was based on our belief that these builders allowed the contract to expire in order to sell the property for a higher profit margin.
This difficult case required Attorney Bass to travel from Hadley MA to Worcester MA to attend hearings and to respond on our behalf to some unusual tactics used by the builders' attorneys, which were apparently aimed at pressuring us to drop the case.
Throughout the process, Attorney Bass kept us informed by phone, text, email and in person and remained committed to holding these builders accountable.
In the days prior to a hearing brought forth by the builders to have our lawsuit dismissed, they began to agree to settle. While we agreed to settle out of court, we believe that their willingness to settle indicated that they feared continued litigation would leave a public record of their business practices.
We found Andrew Bass to be a knowledgeable, well spoken Attorney who is committed to a practice of law that ensures that ethical standards are recognized and that those who fall victim to unethical practice are empowered and protected.
