Attorney Alex Jones and his team were there for me from the first step until my final agreement. They helped guide me through a high conflict divorce to ensure I was protected today, as well as protected in the future. They were steadfast in their compassion, professionalism, respect, and efficiency every step of the way. I was put at ease, provided with consistent support, and they provided me with a path to a fair resolution. I recommend Alex and his team as highly as possible. Divorce is a lonely and isolating experience. You won’t feel the full weight of that with their help.

Maureen did a fantastic job helping me though a rough patch in my marriage. Not only did she win the appeal, but her arguments were so well constructed and tactfully delivered that she made the opposing counsel appear amateur. I should have written this review a year ago when the final detail of my divorce was wrapped up, but I have been so busy living the amazing new life that was made possible by Alex Jones’ hard work that this kept falling to the bottom of my mental list. Now that I’m giving this the time that it has long-deserved, I truly can’t say enough good things about Alex Jones and his assistant Jeanne. When I was blindsided with a less-than-amicable divorce in the middle of a pandemic only a year after moving from my midwestern home of 8 years to MA for my ex-husband’s work, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I had been married for 16 years and had never divorced before. After interviewing several lawyers, I hired Alex because he conveyed the empathy necessary to understand the difficulty of my situation and it was clear to me he had the knowledge and experience to get the most equitable settlement possible in order to set the foundation for my new beginning. Less than 5 months after I hired Alex and without going to court, I was living in a beautiful apartment around the corner from my daughter’s school with a signed legal agreement detailing every single aspect of the divorce settlement….a settlement I felt to be fair upon signing, and, more than 2 years later, I remain completely satisfied with it. Alex & Jeanne were there for me every step of the way being attentive to both my wishes and my fears. I basically layed out what I felt to be a fair settlement and they made it happen within the constraints of the law. When my ex made requests through his legal counsel for things I felt would be more harmful than helpful, Alex was able to eliminate the probability of such unnecessary issues by listening to my concerns, taking them seriously, and communicating them accurately and professionally so my perspective could be understood. Alex was also able to make several suggestions regarding split custody and future communications with my ex that have effectively made the post-divorce period a walk in the park…allowing me to avoid continued conflict and, instead, place my focus and energy on healing and rebuilding. Both he and Jeanne followed through to make sure every promise in writing actually happened in reality within a reasonable timeframe. And, as recently as 6 weeks ago, when I reached out to Alex over concerns that I may need to go back to court for some issues that were occurring at the time, I got a prompt response reassuring me that he was still there to represent me. I could go on and on, but this review is already longer than most. I will conclude with a solid recommendation for this law firm and, specifically, Alex Jones if you are in need of representation for your divorce. I am honestly living the happiest life I have had to date and my daughter is thriving in a split-home situation and has maintained positive relationships with both of her parents. I owe a great deal of the credit for this to Alex as he executed my divorce with near-perfection assuring that I stepped out of a bad situation and onto firm ground with the proper supports in place for my daughter and myself.

Working with Jim and his team ended up being a bad experience. They will spend more money than you need to get you the results you don't want. The team ended up spending more than double the amount of money my ex did with her team. Not only that but they dragged out the divorce for over 3 1/2 years. Jim promised the world at the beginning to come up short at the end. do to their poor ability to negotiate and or deal with the opposing counsel, they ended up costing me an extra $600,000.00 at the end. Do not hire this firm, unless you are looking to get taken!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim Brick is the divorce lawyer you want. I am sure everyone in his firm are lovely, but I happen to know that Jim is thoughtful about your situation, and your spouse's lawyers will get nervous when you retain him. I highly recommend him and his firm

The team was amazingly supportive as we went through our custody battle. They were prompt, professional and courteous, even when the opposing attorney was not. In the end, through their guidance and professionalism we got everything we asked for. We couldn't be happier.

I don't have enough room to write all of my good comments about Brick, Jones, McBrien & Hickey. Going through a divorce was very difficult. I primarily worked with Alex Jones and Jeanne Johnson, but I also worked with Gina Calabro and Jim Brick. All were fantastic!!! Alex and Jeanne understood the importance of creating a future path that would be best for my kids and for me. They listened to my concerns, and they utilized their experience and expert negotiating skill to create an agreement that was fair and well planned. In addition to expert legal skills, Alex and Jeanne served as my "psychologist and counselor". They continually showed passion, allayed my fears and anxieties, talked me through difficult situations, always having the best interest of me and my kids at the forefront. They both became, and always will be, very special friends. Although I am very relieved to have completed this process, I joke with Alex and Jeanne that I miss talking to them regularly. They are both incredible! I am fortunate to have worked with Alex, Jeanne, Gina and Jim.

Maureen McBrien represented me in a divorce that was deliberately made complicated by my ex and his counsel. Maureen was always professional, responsive and thorough. She deftly handled innumerable interactions with opposing counsel and his associate who did everything in their power to make the case difficult. Despite opposing counsel's best efforts at being the worst, Maureen remained calm and stayed with a strategy that ultimately led to an executed separation agreement . I would recommend Maureen McBrien to anyone looking for a talented litigator for divorce and child custody matters.

Wendy Hickey guided me through several years of a highly complex situation. She was always prompt and thorough with communication. She made her self accessible even after hours on multiple occasions. She is a caring and compassionate person and a superlative attorney. I had the opportunity to see her in a situation with peers where other attorneys told me, unsolicited, that I was in good hands. She clearly has the respect of colleagues in the area.
