I have been working with Makayla for around a year. She has represented me through the entirety of my child custody battle with my son’s father. She has made this awful, stressful, scary experience so easy and calming. Makayla is so professional, personable, and really cares about the people she represents, not just their money. Her ability to work well with opposing counsel has made our time in court fast and easy! I could not be more grateful to have been able to work with her. She has seriously saved me so much stress over this last year. She has been able to get me almost everything I have asked for in court for my son. I will 100% be calling her back if I ever need to get back into court! I would for sure recommend her to anyone in need of a child custody lawyer. She is the best!!

I cannot recommend Makayla enough! Thankfully my divorce case has been settled, but throughout the entire process (even though she was not my main attorney), she was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and kind. I have had the pleasure of working with Makayla Caliri for 2 years on my custody and child support case. It was an extremely complicated case with a long history and background. It was sensitive and traumatic. Somehow Makayla made this case less burdensome and stressful. She did everything in her power to make sure we achieved what was not only needed but wanted in our family case. I was battling my ex-husband for years in court and my attorney at the time was not even responding to me. Let me preface this by saying I have a strong distaste to attorneys, but understand their value in our society. I hired Atty Sladen several years ago and she was a great attorney then. As time went on, I found myself in need of her services again. I expected her to be lackadaisical and laissez-faire since she had represented me several times prior. How wrong I was. She was just as committed, just as tenacious as our first meeting. She thoroughly answered every question I had, gave me encouragement, checked in on me to make sure I was ok. In the court room she's amazing to watch; no bologna. She is polite but fierce and handles herself with confidence and grace. I found Makayla to be attentive to my concerns, and efficient in moving my case along. I laid out a general framework of my concerns, my general goals and red lines; she was able to deliver within them. I appreciated her level of communication. She was the attorney I needed in this situation.

Awful experience, was only able to make an impact when the other party had no representation. Once other party took on representation, they were affraid to fight against the other party. When it came to explaining to the stuff judge and the judge made remarks or comments back, they were affraid to get involved with the judge. They are not in the best interest for you, just the ole mighty dollar. Stay away!!!

This was my first time ever needing an attorney, I was nervous and had no idea where to even begin. Makayla made every step seamless and took all that stress and anxiety away.
