We could not be more happy with a devastating situation. When someone you love gets into an accident and it takes their life, Jim Thorson and Gill Switalla, (of Thorson, Switalla, Mondock and Sneed) become part of your family. They worked for us as if it was their personal loved one that was lost. Jim personally could not have understood our pain and the reality of medical bills afterwards. To lose your parent at the hands of an uninsured 17 year old is bewildering. Jim Thorson took a hot-mess and bent but never broke on our case. We won but would rather have our father back. Yes, he is of the "old time" where you truely cared about people or at least he did, he will go to all lenghts to prove a valid case. He is over talkative but guess that is a lawyer.
If you have a ture medical case, he is your lawyer, -- he doesn't just research, he goes and talks to Dr. from Duke, to what ever he needs to do. Again, it is the old attitude you do what is important, love what you do and sleep because you did everything you could do to help.

Several years ago my son suffered a catastrophic brain injury ( TBI) in a fall.
I retained attorney Lawrence B. Goldhirsch and his lawfirm Weitz and Luxenberg to represent me on behalf of my injured son.
Litigation to recover compensation for my injured son was recently settled very satisfactorily.
There were two appeals to higher courts over a liability issue. This case was settled as a Jury was being selected.
Throughout the case, Larry B. Goldhirsch kept me apprised of each step and treated any questions I had respectfully. His sense of humor helped as well.

After working with him for 4 years, I am honored to write this review of his impressive performance in and out of the courtroom. I have been inspired by his high level of professionalism. From the time I first met him, I always felt confident of his ability to represent me. Since I am in my eighties, I was pleased that he was patient, understanding, and compassionate working with me. He always made me feel that my input was valuable, both in and out of the courtroom. He entered the courtroom well-armed with his knowledge from years of research in the form of phone calls, live interviews, and online information. His fabulous opening statement captivated both the jury and the defense, leaving them on the edges of their chairs. To show the jury the exact measurements, he had life-size photos as well as props to demonstrate the relationship of the size of my tumors compared to the original size of my breasts. From his exceptional delivery, I knew he had the knowledge, the desire, and the integrity to win my case. I knew he had anticipated every possible argument the defense could present.
I was impressed by his creative resourcefulness, not only for gathering evidence but also for his ability to build hope in his clients. I felt he was totally committed to my case, regardless of the time and expense required. I never doubted that he had my best interests in every decision he made. Although he was 3 time zones away, he was always with me--through emails and phone calls--as if he was right next door. He flew here 7 times, never worrying about the cost or the personal inconvenience.
His mastery of multi-media equipment showed his superiority over the defense. After the trial, even they were impressed enough to ask him about the equipment he used. He kept the jurors' interest by breaking down all medical terms, so anyone could understand them. Even with his hands literally tied behind his back, he stayed focus to win the case. When he was not allowed to show the jury the pre-recorded depositions containing winning evidence, he demonstrated honesty and integrity by letting me voluntarily drop the case to prevent years of appeal, due to my age and health.
He deserves the highest possible rating because he is intelligent without being arrogant. He is knowledgeable and has great people skills. I was always proud to have him represent me. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.
Most of all, I am grateful for all the time and expense he went through flying to many states to gather depositions from witnesses and medical experts. I believe he is the best attorney, not just in the United States, but in the world. Without reservation, I believe he should receive the highest rating because he definitely surpasses all the necessary requirements in every category.

Professional, Caring, and Attentive it was worth saying twice. The title should say it all! About five years ago I was nearly killed in a workplace accident (2016). The accident left me in a scary place to say the least. When I was introduced to Peter my case had been started by another attorney. Long story short, Peter sat patiently while I rambled on about what happened to me. He formulated a general plan to start and presented it to me in a way that I could understand. Peter is a down to earth person that was always attentive and made me feel like I was his only client. I could go on and on about Peter Cerilli, but the bottom line is, read the title again and then make the call and let Peter do what he does best. Kristin Pettey is an amazing attorney. While only 10% of her business falls within the family law side, I myself was going through a complex divorce to include an unreasonable ex-spouse as they were on their third attorney when our case closed. Family law is very difficult in general to deal with and I found when dealing with attorney's in the family law realm that a lot of them are not trustworthy, or at least I myself felt they did not have my interests at heart. I had family law issues in multiple states, which made it complex; Kristin took on my Rhode Island case. Working with Kristin compared to other family law attorney's that I have in the past was a night and day difference. Kristin was a zealous advocate, an extremely competent attorney, and overall a pleasure to work with. She told it to me straight and I trusted the advice that she gave me. Overall I felt happy with the outcome of the case because of her actions. Keep in mind that if you are going through family law litigation, you must accept and understand that your outcome is limited by what the state accepts as fair. Kristin will do what she can to defend your rights and what is fair. If you heed her advice, even if you do not like it, you can expect your case with her to go as smoothly as possible. My ex attempted many different strategies to get the most she possibly could out of our case, buty Kristin was able to turn these to our advantage and she set me up for success. Over the year+ that I worked with her as we were approaching a final court date I felt very confident that it would go positively for me because of her advice and hard work. In the end, my ex came around and we were able to obtain a consent decree. Mine is not normal; it has a lot of nuances in it because of the gamesmanship that my ex attempted to play. I feel very comfortable moving forward in our consent decree and that my current and future interests are looked after. I also look forward to coming to Kristin in the future as things change, and the decree needs to be modified.
In sum, I highly recommend Kristin, you can’t go wrong. I would expect her quality of advocacy to be just as high in her other areas of practice, no matter if it is family law, medical malpractice, or litigation.
