I'm not studying or working at UofM but I was able to avail of their services for notary (true copy attestation). They were quick, polite and free. Great service, would recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

Awesome that students on UMs campus have access to cousel of some type to consult on anything from traffic tickets, crimal offenses and leasing issues.

I went in with nearly 100 pages of real estate documents that needed to be signed in front of a notary. Christina was extremely helpful and patient with us, especially when we found some typos in the documents that we needed to make some calls about. If I could give her more stars, I would.

Very knowledgeable and helpful! Our landlady deducted almost the entirety of our security deposit as damages, and the legal team at SLS helped us get almost all of it with the sending of one letter! Our lawyer really listened to us, and made us feel important. She discussed our options, and made us feel confident in making them!

Free legal services for Umich students

Lady on the phone was a grump and extremely rude. Asked if the SLS provided services for applying for tax-exempt status (for a school club) and she said no, which was fine. However, she went on to give a number for a referral services from the Washentaw Bar. She said it WAAAAY too quickly and when I asked her to repeat the number, she told me to look it up online and hung up immediately. Wasn't sure she was having a bad day, but I hope she has one now.

I needed to have some documents notarized. As a student, the services were free and the staff was very nice and helpful.
