Before meeting with Alan at AYAR Law regarding back taxes owed by my husband, our accountant told us the only way to avoid the IRS taking his entire income and a large portion of mine was to get a divorce. I consulted with and eventually hired Alan to handle my tax debt that was left over from my marriage that had subsequently dissolved. I was overwhelmed with the amount of tax debt that had accommodated and honestly I did not know where to start. He was very understanding, patient and started from the beginning. He went through my financials and put together an OIC to the IRS. They did reject our initial offer but what we eventually settled with was a fraction (about 22%) of what I owed.
