I was in an accident and received a ticket that came with severe penalties. Steve was recommended to me by a relative from this area who is also an attorney but lives in Chicago. I liked Steve's attitude and relaxed personality. He seemed like a "real" person and made me feel comfortable talking about my problem. He listened closely to my explanation and was not judgemental. He explained what was going to happen step by step, even advising me what to do, say and wear. He outlined some probable outcomes from my plea, from the best to the worst, and told me what he thought might happen. In the end the outcome was as good as could possibly be expected, beyond what my friends told me would happen! His fee was very reasonable, but I actually hired him for the outcome and I am sure I hired the best!

Mr. Shelton was assigned to my case as a court appointed attorney. I don't think I could have been more fortunate. Being charged with two counts of felony possession is not a small thing. My experience with other attorneys, has been that they were simple proxies between me and the court, where I ended up providing most of the information, and even arguments, for my case. This was not the case with Mr. Shelton, nor his office staff. They were extremely helpful, communicative, and diligent. Every time I called to check on something, it was already being handled. All I had to do was communicate the facts, and everything else was not only handled, but handled well. The case outcome was the best possible scenario, dismissed on all counts by the prosecution. I can't thank this attorney and his office staff enough. If I ever have legal issues again in Michigan, this attorney is absolutely my new go-to. And also, my first recommendation.

Mr. Shelton represented me on a tax case from the City of Flint. I had no idea what was going on , or why the City was coming after me, but Mr. Shelton and his staff were absolutely amazing. They took care of everything, getting the correct information, and making the City prove their side (which they couldn't). It ended up with my case being dismissed. I first came to know attorney steven shelton over two years ago. I met him of all places on a radio talk show. Mr. Shelton was defending the rights of citizens who were arrested while walking black in the city of flint michgan. I had and still have a bunch of legal troubles in the terrible county of Tuscola Michigan. I was a school teacher at teh time and my wife and I had never had a traffic ticket much less ever been arrested. Needless to say I started by retaining supposedly one of the best attorneys in michigan and needless to say that ended in disaster. I then hired attorney steve shelton and he fought and successful was able to defeat the Tuscola regime. I simply can not say enough good things about Steven Shelton. He is willing to work for his clients, You can always get ahold of Mr. Shelton he is not stuck up in some ivory tower. I like the fact that he is a real honest sincere person who is willing to helpHe actually came to my home and took pictures of the home to prove that it was in excellent condition and able to have my children there. CPS and the police and the presecution all left me alone after the retention of Mr. Shelton. I came to Steven by a referral and found him easy to talk to and he listened very well. He came to my house to represent me, I had got caught driving with a revoked license in Genesee County, with other priors on my record, he got me a plea of guilty to the charge of No Ops in Possession with Judge McCabe, I was very happy with the plea bargain with no Driver Responsibility Costs! Although it did get registered with the SOS and cannot be considered to file at the DLAD until Jan. 2019, going back to my original sentence of revoked for five years for driving under the influence. Overall he did a good job and I would hire him for the future, (hopefully won't have to)
