Ms. Knudsen represented me in my contentious divorce that ultimately boiled down to a parenting time dispute. Her performance in navigating the divorce battlefield was simply marvelous. She is a tour de force lawyer with exceptional wit and was masterful in all avenues of my divorce proceedings.
Additionally, the team that supports Kraayeveld Law always has your back. Specifically, this includes Amanda and Max. Highly recommend!

I hired Jim Kraayeveld to clean up some financial issues from my divorce that my original attorney didn't handle very well and right out of the gate Jim was are very responsive with an initial call, but from there everything went straight downhill. Jim wants to be an elite divorce attorney in the West Mi area and charge $440 per hour and I can tell you firsthand that that he doesn't compare anywhere near to my now ex-wife's attorney - Connie Thacker. Jim's communication skills were as bad as I have ever seen in my 35 years of being in business. A good example of this was the day of the hearing and texting me settlement offers that I'm thinking are from my ex-wife attorney, but come to find out potential offers were from Jim as possibly ideas. Also, throughout the entire process leading up to the hearing, Jim had me receiving money back from my ex-wife and I can tell that wasn't at all the outcome. Now, one might say that I wasn't happy with the outcome of our hearing which is 100% true, but what made me so upset is that Jim never once prepared me for anything near as to what I ended up paying. I kept asking him is there any possible way that I could owe my ex-wife anything near to what they are asking for and he would reassure me that I wouldn't, but again he never thought of the worse case and he was clearly not prepared during he hearing when it the Judge looked like she was going that direction. Jim completely froze on camera since this was a virtual hearing and then couldn't find the numbers to ty to back up his argument. I was truly embarrassed to have Jim as my legal counsel representing me. The hearing was ~ 9:00 AM in the morning and Jim looked like he just woke up from a bender the past evening, but it also showed in his preparedness & overall communication with he Judge. I hate to say this, but Connie Thacker who is my ex-wife legal counsel did an outstanding job and it showed. She was well prepared and didn't have to look down all the time to find her numbers or certain facts about the case. She had a nice background screen and her presentation looked very professional. Immediately, after the hearing I was in sock as to the outcome when Jim called me, so I didn't say much, but then I started to replaying everything leading up to the hearing and it was clear Jim & his staff just weren't prepared to who the Judge was going rule in this case. I mentioned to Jim numerous times of examples where he dropped the ball, but Jim is one of those people that won't ever admit a mistake. He then wouldn't make time to me personally about my dissatisfaction of how he handled my case, so then he had Hillary talk to me on the phone and then she was going to take my concerns to Jim. I never heard from either one of them, but the kicker was that Jim was going to bill & overbill me for every little possible thing. My final invoice had so many inaccurate charges that I finally ended paying only ~ 25% and told Jim to take it or leave it which they ended up taking it because Jim knew there was no way he would win in small claims court. In fact, his frim actually ended up cashing one of my checks for MORE than what I wrote it out for and then tried to charge their time to fix that billing mess. His frim also charged me for their time regarding inaccurate child tax info that Hillary gave to me. Hillary advised me to simply send my ex-wife and email explaining that we would alternate years taking the child tax credit, but he problem with that type of agreement wouldn't hold up in court. The only tax document or form that would hold up in court outlining who is able to take the child tax credits is the IRS 8832 form, but when I looked ay final invoice from The Kraayeveld Law offices there is Hillary's billable time for completely wrong information that she gave to me. All very good examples of how dishonest Jim & this law frim is. Please think twice before hiring Jim as your attorney because he really isn't worth anything near $440 per hour!

I truly cannot say enough great things about Kraayeveld Law, or the individuals that work there. I have closely been working with Kelsey, my attorney, along with Max, and Amanda, who continue to go above and beyond for their clients. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and works very hard for their clients. The entire team is available to you, and if not, returns calls and answers communication very quickly. I have always feel in the loop, which is important for a lawyer-client relationship. Kelsey is dedicated to her clients, is fair and honest, and I would recommend her and the rest of the team at Kraayeveld Law, especially with dealing in high conflict divorce and child custody matters.

Kelsey Knudsen was absolutely wonderful and professional. She kept me very up to date with everything going on, and also helped me with every question or situation I had or came up to. Her ability to represent me was top of the line and would recommend her to anyone to have her represent them. Kelsey was very helpful preparing me for court and the question that may arise from the opposition’s lawyer. Thank you again for everything Kelsey!!!

Edit - Super friendly and helpful! This is only at first in order to retain your business. Unfortunately afterwards service went downhill. Once everything was finally settled lots of problems with communication and processes) there wasn't even any direction on how to go about actually finalizing anything. I took a day off work and had to run around town getting what I actually needed for everything. Unfortunately the day I took off the courthouse wasclosed and my vacation day was wasted. Over rated and terrible service. Good luck with this firm.

Just had an initial consultation about divorce proceedings after getting the summons papers. Didn't know what to do or to expect and they were helpful even in the initial consultation and broke down things to expect, things to do, and even asked some details to give ballpark ideas of what is to come financially in various aspects of the process.

During a difficult time, I had the pleasure of associating with this business. I was pleasantly surprised when the business let me know that they did not practice the type of law I needed. The bright and kind woman I spoke to then gave me a referral to someone who could help us. Thank you Shari Cole for your compassion during a stressful time for our family. It all worked out with your suggested course of action.

I've tried doing it my self without much success, I've hired a couple other attorneys and felt like they didn't even care enough to listen to all the issues at hand before wanting a retainer to listen.
Courtney has gone above and beyond on more than one occasion for my daughter and I. She continues to impress me with her recovery of facts on the fly. She has an admirable amount of confidence with knowledge and attitude to back it.
I pray I don't need her again but wouldn't want anyone else in my corner if I do! I'd strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic dedicated family attorney. Except my daughter's mom, please refer her to the yellow pages🤣😂🤣😂
