Bob Hackett was referred to me by a friend to take over a domestic violence case being botched here in Grand Rapids by my previous attorney who was a close friend. Bob did a great job taking it over. Was responsive, reasonably priced and very effective and straightforward and caring. His professionalism earned him a second call when my son received a DUI in Flint. He represented us well and his hard work got us the best possible outcome. Much appreciated. He has since become my go-to call for any legal matters. He deals straight and either helps me out or refers me to someone else who can serve me better. I have tremendous respect for him and his work and recommend him to anyone asking for a good lawyer.

Renee was AMAZING. I can't say enough about her. She was honest the whole time whether it was what I wanted to hear or not, which was important to me. We won my custody case and I will always use Renee for any issues that arise!

So far they have been extremely proffesional and caring. 10/10 would recommend.

Would recommend seeking other attorneys. The only time they were really attentive is the initial consultation when they are getting ready to ask for money as a retainer. After that my defense attorney was a lay down and was easily pushed around by the opposing counsel. He seemed to be well known, but certainly did not have enough clout to get good results for me. I was 42 years old at the time with a clean record , a veteran, and had NEVER been in any trouble before. I was charged with Felony Assault. Not only did I end up with the felony, but from day he never got an inch from the other attorney and kept telling me how it was the best we could do. I believe many other attorneys could have had the charge reduced and I likely would have ended up with a misdemeanor. At one point I had to call and email my attorney no less than 6 times over a 2 week period with no response. I had to complain to another attorney at the firm to get a response. My attorney continued to tell me what he would do, but NEVER followed through without repeated requests or follow up on my part. Very non-responsive and maybe they just take too many clients at once. On top of that, he knew I was a veteran and didn't even tell me I could have been eligible to be tried or have my case go through the veterans courts. I likely would not have even had a felony. I made the mistake that got me in trouble, no doubt about that, but the other mistake I made was trusting this firm to represent me. Your money would be better spent elsewhere. Also, used the family division of this firm through a divorce. Had to fire them and hire a different firm which made the attention I was getting from Jason at WMDT look like a joke. I got farther and more answers from MI Family Law Center in a few days than this firm got me in 2 months. Thank goodness I switched! I plan to have my felony expunged when I can. I will not use this firm for that unless they offer to do it free for doing such a poor job TWICE.

Robert Hackett is the man to go to for your legal needs! He is a force to be reconed in the court room. He is high end quality lawyer & as a person who has needed counsil in the past, my personal testimony is Bob simply is the best! Thank you!

I have used Jason Jansma twice and a court appointed attorney once. Any court appointed attorney could have done the same job that Jason did. He said about 2 sentences to the judges each time, forcing me to do almost all of the talking. I didn't like how I had to pay in full before my hearing date. Both sentences turned out worse than expected.

Working with Mr. Hackett was a positive experience during a challenging time! He was prompt returning a phone call then willing to meet with family members within 24 hours! The efficient manner in which he worked was exceptional! Working with an attorney can be intimidating! Bob exemplified an awesome attorney! He was very professional at the same time demonstrating an amazing level of care and concern for his client! Highly recommend Mr. Hackett!

I have used a few lawyers through out my divorce and after my divorce and my representation was not satisfactory but Renée was great and pleasant to work with. Renée is very professional and very honest, she will be upfront with you if she can accomplish what you are asking for in the courtroom. Sometimes cases are very one sided with parenting time and a lot things seem unfair but it does help having the best representation and I know Renée is up there with the best. She is confident and will fight for you 100%.
