Mark handled my DUI in Michigan, which was a little unique as an Out-of-State driver. His knowledge of the law, likely scenarios and outcomes and preparation, calmed my nerves and gave me confidence. He is straightforward and realistic. He was able to negotiate my higher-level DUI down to base level, which saved me a lot of time and money. Mark did a terrific job for me helping me through process and plea bargaining with state prosecuting attorney. I believe having him represent me in front of judge helped my sentencing considerably. He knows the system in MI and seems to have the respect of judges and attorneys in the system.

My husband was arrested recently on a six-year old warrant because he failed to appear for final sentencing on a second OWI. From the day he was apprehended to sentencing he was in jail for 8 days. In the first two days I searched extensively for an attorney to represent my husband at sentencing in hopes one could strike deals or plea bargains to avoid further jail time as the maximum sentence included a full year. After contacting several, no one would or could touch the case because of the short amount of time and/or because it was only for a sentencing and many felt nothing much could be done. After contacting Mark and initially speaking with him, though, I knew I was in great hands. He walked me through the possibilities and strategies and gave me a great price rate given the special circumstances and one-time only appearance. It should be noted this case was to be heard in Ottawa county under a judge who is well known for imposing harsh sentences on drunk driving offenders so one could only imagine what his honor would do to one who failed to show for his sentencing. Mark, however, is very familiar with both this county and the judge at hand and actually has a very good rapport with him (a rarity among attorneys here). After a very stressful week, we finally went to court for my husband's sentencing. It was then that we were given a pre-sentence recommendation of 60 days in jail. Mark, however, remained optimistic and approached the sentencing with many well-placed arguments and proposed compromises using his rapport with the judge (it was very evident the two were respectful and comfortable with one another) and the jail time was thrown out in lieu of probation. Mark was insightful, straight-forward, and above all highly intelligent in this particular case. I can only assume based on this experience and my initial assessment of his professionalism that this is the norm. I will recommend Mark to anyone in the G.R. and surrounding areas that is in need of representation - particularly when it comes to matters of DUI and OWI. Without him I shudder to think of how much longer my dear husband would have had to endure the agony of incarceration.

While having Mark Hunting for a court appointed attorney I was shocked to discover that he was pushing me in the wrong direction. And i never would of thought that i would get yelled at by my own council. when i finally found a new lawyer it took several weeks to get copies of marks files.. and there was nothing in them. weeks of waiting for a file and all it was were copies of the notice to appear that the court sends out. and the biggest let down was when i first walked in his office he made promises of evidence and dna and a fighting chance. then the next day at court he tricked me into waiving the evidence hearing .. i wouldn't recommend mark hunting i would report him

Mark p. Hunting is a great lawyer. He gave great advice in my case and kept in contact frequently with new updates on it. Was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. With previous driving occurrences on my license, he helped greatly in reducing and even eliminating some of the violations that I received.

Mark P. Hunting is the one you want. Top gun-no joke. Right from the start, you get a feeling this guy is a straight-shooter. I had 13 previous charges on my record, and was charged with using a stolen credit card which is a felony. Mr. Hunting met with me in his office 3 days before Christmas because I needed representation by the 26th. He was there with a smile and a plan. I thought I was going up the river. But not on Mark's watch, and the amazing firm he represents. I laid out what i was hoping for, thinking that I would only get a few things requested, like no jail time or probation that required classes that I don't need. Fact is, he got everything I requested and had my probation moved to my home town. He doesn't over-sell himself in court the way so many other lawyers do. Because of this, in my opinion, he has gained a huge edge in the court room with the judges. This is how good things happen on the sentencing date. He is fearless with over-zealous prosecutors or detectives that might have trumped up your charges a bit. He makes it look good while he's doing it too. All while reassuring me to stay calm but learn from this. And to put a cherry on top, his firm is priced very reasonable for his experience and the fantastic service I received.
