The ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY that I've ever encountered. I've tried on a numerous occassion to pay off my debt and the more I paid, the more they tried to take. Interest is accrued daily, they WILL NOT work with you to resolve the account. Their numbers are inconsistent, they garnished my checks for one amount while stating that I owed more. If that is the case, why didn't they take ALL of their money. I just so desperately want to be DONE with them. And they are all robots, they just repeat the SAME THING OVER AND OVER...UNBELIVEABLE. AND in order to talk to a supervisor, you have to submit a request via writing. I'm beyond annoyed and dissapointed with the way they handle business.

I've had to deal with multiple company's like this due to medical bills. This is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I've attempted to set up a payment plan with them twice and both times they could not make it work. So to take care of it I started paying by phone . Even doing this is not enough for them, while receiving payments regularly they are still going to garnish my wages with with no warning to me what so ever . On top of that they can't seem to get they're accounting right and my total keeps changing with no logical reason Givin. I've been told that my wages are being garnished because of no payment plan set up which I made every attempt to do with basically no help from them. And now at this point I can't even talk to a supervisor without a written request to do so. And our laws don't seem to do anything to protect us from company's like this. They don't care. If you find yourself dealing with them my advice would be to get away from them as fast as possible. This company is an absolute disgrace . A 1 star rating does not begin to describe my experience.

Firstly, I pay my bills and have great credit, however their were some older bills I had forgotten about. Velo didn't call me first, but instead sent a notice of wage garnishments right to my employer. They started taking the garnished wages my very first week of (unpaid) maternity leave. Any PTO time I had saved for leave went right to Velo. I sent in a form for a payment plan- no response from them. I couldn't afford what they were taking out each check, so I called to do a settlement with a credit card, they wouldn't accept. They said I had to fill out paperwork and send it back. I sent it in that same day but another check went by with garnished wages. So I called and they said they were still making a decision on the settlement. By this time I owed less than what the settled amount was. They purposely had it drag out so they could get every penny. I called again to pay the whole thing off and they told me it takes a week to process so I could just let them get it all with my next check. They also told me my settlement wasn't approved, but they never let me know when the decision was made. I have no idea what could take so long or how lazy these people are. This doesn't happen often to me but I have never heard of this process for collecting debt. So unprofessional and slow.

They trick you. They told me I had time to mail a financial statement and they hadn't requested a judgement. They also said I would have to call back weekly to check the status of the statement and wouldn't call me when they make a determination.(Crooked and lazy.)I filled out and sent monthly statement only to find they had requested judgment. They're crooks and horrible lazy people.

I want to say the behavior of this law office is Criminal, but unfortunately our legal system supports crooked practices like this. I was making 2 month payments AHEAD OF TIME with Vanhattum and associates when their firm was absorbed by Velo Law. I received no notice that this had happened, just a notice of delinquency. When I called to find out what had happened they refused to provide me with ANY information aside from my balance. They would not tell me how much I needed to pay to get the account in good standing, or even explain how the account became “delinquent”. When I asked to speak with a manager they told me I would need to contact them in writing? When I became frustrated they hung up on me. The truth is they don’t want you to make payments. This company wants to purposely put you in default so they can garnish you in one large go, regardless of how catastrophic it may be in your life. No one wants to be in debt. It doesn’t happen by choice. And companies like this are the reason for our homeless population. Their lack of compassion and human decency causes so much pain and suffering. The attorneys are horrible, and the staff that chooses to work there are horrible by association. Please do not employ these crooks, take your legal business to decent human beings.

All my experience In Life with Collections agency's we all know their a different breed of people, But these people are the worst liars, and there Manipulation game is out of control! I entered into a Payment arrangement with them, and they Intentionally violated that agreement just so they could Garinsh my check. These people are no good,

Although this may Not be a place any one wants to hear from. I gotta say the service is exceptional. The Receptionist is very nice and knows her stuff.
