Sharan Levine and her team helped me navigate a problematic & intricate ownership transition between myself and a business partner. This was a situation that needed to be handled delicately to avoid flaring tempers and emotions. She said she was an expert at these types of situations during the free consult, then proved it by the phenomenal way she resolved the situation. She was able to successfully value the company, prepare all the necessary documents, and most importantly get all parties to agree & sign. It is truly impossible to capture the quality of her work in such a short narrative. Sharan is undoubtedly a skilled lawyer, a person of high intelligence, and most importantly, a person of the highest moral character. There was never a situation in which she displayed otherwise. I was pleased with the outcome of our engagement and will continue to use her firm to assist me with all my legal matters into the future.

A terrible lawyer, as a family we spent upwards of $50,000 to have a jail sentence along with a lengthy term of probation. After all that was done, and “Randy” himself said to call him if there were any problems.... well, “Randy” referred us to his paralegal and never took our calls. And his paralegal told me it would cost $10,000 to start a process that was promised years before. If there was a way to give him no stars, I would. After speaking with an Alegan public defender, his deal was virtually the same as what “Randy” had “worked” for. There’s far better attorneys out of state that would give better results than a bow tie wearing, art dealing, less than caring tool.

I’d spoken to 4 other attorneys, and only 1 of those even came CLOSE to giving me the level of comfort Sarissa gave me. After meeting with Sarissa, I chose to hire her and she immediately went to work for me. I was facing one 10-year felony assault charge, one felony charge, and one misdemeanor charge. On my court date, Sarissa met me at the Cass County Michigan Courts building, and then she performed nothing short of a miracle! She went and spoke to the Prosecutor, and when she came back, the state dropped all the charges and I pled to a Misdemeanor Disturbing the Peace charge and paid a $250 fine! I know that those results are not indicative of every case as every case is different with various elements, but I assure you that hiring Sarissa Montague at Levine & Levine law firm was the BEST decision I could’ve made for my case! I’ve used Joe Vanderhorst for a couple different family law and custody issues over the last 5 years! Joe is incredibly networked and experienced in family law in this area! He has never steered me wrong or inflated my expectations going into a legal battle. I value my family more than anything else and I would willingly place them in Joe’s hands again should I need to!

Attorney Dombos is excellent. He practically lives at his office (7 days a week) to make sure his clients are taken care of. He is a very caring attorney who treats his clients with dignity and respect. He makes time for them 7 days a week. He clearly is an asset to anyone he is involved with, and a great asset to the legal community.

If I could do 10 stars I would! I unfortunately cannot speak on other attorneys here, but if they’re anything like Jon Vander Horst I would highly recommend them! Jon on multiple occasions went above and beyond expectations for me, and I’m very grateful. He was very understanding and a great team player, he took his game plan and mine, merged them together and the outcome was amazing! I told him exactly what I wanted and he made it happen, just unbelievable! And the secretaries have been very helpful also when it comes to contacting him, nothing but very positive and effective results from this firm, STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!

Horrible experience with lawyers Joseph Vanderhorst and his unpleasant secretary Audra. I have been fighting an ongoing battle for years to keep joint custody of my kids. My ex wife continuously tries to inch away at my time in order to get more child support, so I decided to try a more strategic approach by involving a lawyer (Vanderhorst). In the beginning I told him I want half-joint custody like I originally had and he agreed after reviewing my case. That would be the first and last cooperation we would have together. The very first court date I was thrown off guard by him trying to get me to compromise to have less time than half (only 2 days) time with my kids and his big motivator was that my child support would drop down despite my original plan. Of course my ex seen through his fast talking and declined his attempts to end our case then and there, ie: the reason I told him I wanted half custody- my original order and we’ll probably have to fight, whole purpose of getting a lawyer.... I can go back and forth with my ex myself... instead of paying 2,500$ for someone to mediate. Oh and the 2,500$ originally started with a quote of 1500$ then after office visit he said it was a mistake. After first court date, and the entirety of his employment I seen no results but was steadily receiving new charges in the mail.... I mean ridiculous charges, 200$ for a email here and there that I had no knowledge of or received no information about... 100$ for gas up the road... 100$ for a phone call... 200$ for signing some paperwork. The total charges end up being close to 4000$ dollars, I still have seen no results, in fact I’m worst off now in debt, I fired him Due to lack of results, all talk and charging. His secretary Audra was very disrespectful as well, she acted as if she’s doing you a favor by taking his calls and at one point (which made me terminate services finally), she became a conflict of interest in my case, I felt as if she was representing my ex. Anyhow $4000 dollars later still in the same spot and paying the max in child support, while I have my kids only 2 days a week I still pay as if I never have them, and Joseph Vanderhorst couldn’t even tackle that. What a joke, more money for his pocket to drive around with in his Mercedes. I’m positive his whole agenda is to take your money and end your case quickly as possible even if it means sacrificing your rights and wants. Wish there were negative stars on the rating.
