Nothing about my experience as his client gave me any reason to recommend him to anyone for what I paid unfortunately in fact I’d probably suggest that someone find a cheaper option because the only difference would be how much they spent.

Do yourself a favor - google search Lapeer attorney and pick literally any other one. He was never prepared. Often prepared in the court room while waiting for case to be called. Had to check my bill for being mis-charged or billed multiple times for the same thing. I question the positive reviews here. Go somewhere else.

Matt is very thoughtful and intelligen t. He took time to think about and organize my defence strategy and then was able to articulate that strategy very well in court. I highly recommend that you hire Matt to handle your case. I am very pleased.

If you’re looking for best, I’d highly recommend Mike Sharkey. He has fought for me like no other lawyer has before in my lifetime of being within the judicial system and that’s very, very hard to find these day. Mr. Sharkey has helped me restore my license and enable me to continue to keep my steady pace of success to continue with dignity. He will listen to you and be right to the point. If I ever need a lawyer for it be anything in the future, Mike WILL be my lawyer for good as long as he’s in business! If anyone can do it, he can!

Hands down thee most amazing attorney and one hell of a stand up guy. I cannot promise he will do what he did for me but I can promise you he is for the people. This man single handily change my perception on attorneys in general. He isn’t out to make the money he’s out to get the job done. Mr. Funke you have a fan for life; I’d say client but I’m just not doing to need a defense attorney anymore, but I speak very highly of you and what you did for myself and my family. Stephan A Manko has the WORST customer service. He's extremely rude with a $3800 retainer fee, that he will take regardless if he completes the case or not. My father recently passed away in an extremely messy case before it started, Stephan ignored our calls, dropped the case and said because he's dead there's nothing more he wants to help with and the retainer fee was kept. Extremely disrespectful lawyer, unprofessional, hard to get ahold of, would not recommend. UPDATE: Stephan is absolutely incorrect about what he knows about my father. My father would have never retained him if he knew that he would completely disregard his case with a 10 year old child involved. Stephen lacks empathy. He's rude and will disregard your feelings. If you want a good lawyer I suggest looking elsewhere.
